It is interesting.. Wlad is on a succesful course for so long and his detractors want to see him get beat. After Wlad recovered from the first Brewster fight, he was said to be avoiding Peter ... then he took on Peter, he was gonna get murdered inside two rounds, glass chin, etc etc, Wlad dominated 10 out 12 rounds, then knocked out longest reigning champion Byrd, but #2 Rahman would beat him ..... then Wlad knocked out undefeat Brock while Rahman lost to Maskaev... then Liakhovic was gonna beat him after seeing what he did to Brewster... Wlad had his mandatory Austin and knocked him out in two rounds not once using the right hand.. while Liakhovic was getting knocked out by Briggs.. then Valuev was gonna beat Wlad because of his size... Wlad goes on to stop and dominate Brewster "who has Wlad's number" in the rematch while Valuev loses to Chagaev. The common denominator? The opponent that's supposed to beat Wlad either loses to Wlad himself or to someone else, while Wlad keeps winning his fight in dominant performances.
