USA Today scored it 115-113 for Canelo. Boxingjunkie.com has it 115-113 too. Sports Illustrated 115-113 Canelo.
I was pulling for Cotto and actually picked him to win the fight but he absolutely lost the fight. I had it 117-111. I gave cotto a few early rounds but after the 4th round it was all canelo.
I watched an HD foreign stream and couldn't understand the language. I thought it was a close fight. I had a draw, or Canelo 7-5. 7-5 either way was arguable in my opinion. 11-1, 10-2, and 9-3 were not.
You should have never trusted them to begin with. They are a bought for certain fights to back a certain fighter, and their stats are often grossly off. CompuBox is never accurate when fights are video ****yzed afterwards. Those two mother ****ers sitting at ringside pressing buttons are a joke. Their stats are as bad as amateur scoring is.
Cotto never had a chance when he refused to pay the 300k. Boxing wants Canelo and GGG. Don't get me wrong I think Cotto won but it was closer than they said.
Canelo was in control, he could have cut the ring off a lot better though. Cotto landed a few good shots but nothing major. Canelo 8-4 or close to it.
I think some people felt it was close because they felt Canelo would destroy Cotto. When that didn't happen, they gave Cotto credit for avoiding destruction and didn't notice that Canelo was still beating Cotto. The same people claiming Canelo is overrated were saying Canelo would destroy Cotto.
I hate it when HBO was kissing canelo's ginger too much. my score card was way too different than HBO and the judges
