I am shocked that so few people think that Joshua has a chance at this thing...

All true to a certain degree. I don't rate Wilder that highly but I was over the moon when Fury spanked him about. Because of how he conducts himself and his toxic fanbase.

For me it’s 60/40, 55/45 in favour of Fury.

I think AJ has a decent chance to win, it’s just that Fury has more ways to win.

Fury can be hurt and AJ is technically a lot better than Wilder, so will land shots.

The difference for me is the pace Fury can set. He literally could go for 20 rounds where with the muscle mass of AJ he does take breaks.

I genuinely have it 50-50, which is why it's such a potentially great fight. So many imponderables:
    1. Can Joshua win if he doesn't get Fury out of there early?
    2. Can Fury take a full blooded AJ combo on the chin and ride it out?
    3. Can Joshua really outpoint Fury over 12 rounds?
    4. Will Fury go for the stoppage ala Wilder II?
I'll be shocked if this is an easy fight for either of them.

I slightly favor Joshua, due to his style and output, I always did.

Agree. Joshua has good fundamentals, great power and decent combinations. A guy like that should never be discounted. I also think Fury will win but it's only a foregone conclusion in the minds of the Fury fanboys.

    90/10 fury

Stiff, rabbit in the head light AJ has a punches chance

Won't be easy to land combos on fury, unlike a shorter 39 year old who has hardly had any competitive fights since Wlad

I honestly expect Fury to run through AJ. Maybe it will be close early, but AJ will have to let his hands go sometime and Fury will take advantage of a gassed AJ

Think about it. If Aj comes in heavy,he will gas quickly. If he comes in light? He will we pushed around the ring. Fury is a strong man and can fight inside

Aj is also going to get mentally broken during the build up

I just can't see AJ winning this fight, unless fury underperforms

Joshua has a better chance than most. But judging how Ruiz dealt with him on the inside. I don't see Fury having too many problems. He needs that long range devastating punch. Still too reliant on his uppercuts, it won't work against Fury, like it did with Pulev and Wlad. He won't be in that position.

There's also the mental aspect. Fury isn't used to being the favourite and Joshua isn't used to being the underdog. Fury has said multiple times that he enjoys being the underdog.

    "Joshua is a thoroughbred"

The guy who got bounced off the canvas & quit against a 5'10" midget? & came into boxing late?

    ok

Fury is a thoroughbred. Gypsy fighting royalty is in his blood on both sides of the family. Not in AJ's.

There is not an ounce of quit or doubt in Fury's mindset. AJ is the opposite, he already has said words that show seeds of doubt which Fury will have already picked up on.

Wilder doesn't suck. He's just incredibly ungainly and barely passes the eye test. That power is no joke though and I'm certain he's the hardest puncher around given how he one shots people with pretty good chins.

They're both ****. AJ is a slightly smellier turd than Fury so will lose. Asking his trainer what punch Ruiz hit him with, what year is it, who am I, what's he gonna do. Then gets destroyed.
Ancient Wlad would have obliterated him if he'd remembered he possessed a right hand along with remembering to take his arthritis supplements.

Fury, AJ and Wilder are the best of a bad bunch, risen inexorably to the top of the garbage can, the posters going on about these untouchable modern superheavyweights don't know what hell they're talking about.

As is often in sports forums, maybe more so boxing ones, the truth is somewhere near the middle.

First Wilder is no bum. You can't call one of the hardest hitting HWs a bum. Is he a sound boxer - of course not. Does it look like he's avoided some strong competition. Sure, but you can say that about most HWs these days. I agree that many are making too much of Fury-Wilder 2 and AJ-Ruiz 1 in terms of forecasting. However you can't completely discard those results like they were from five years ago.

I look at this as 70-30 Fury. If Fury is having an off night it's 50-50, maybe favoring AJ. If AJ is having an off night - fuhgetaboutit.
