I am so grateful to have witnessed the days of Roy Jones Jr in his prime. It wont be witnessed again

Holyfield was 38/9 clearly a fighter who's clock was running down.. He was knocked out by Toney not long after.. Theres a reason Ruiz was chosen, he wasn't very athletic and was flat footed, nor was he a notable puncher.. many skilled light heavyweights could have juiced up and beaten Ruiz.. Moorer for instance beat a PRIME Evander, that was impressive.. & Kirk Johnson was beached whale ****.. he got squashed in two round by Vitali Klitschko, never did anything much... Golota win was an absolute gift btw.. it was also a 36 year old Golota coming off a loss & who had recently retired for 3 years... and spare me the one hit wonder Rahman .. Rahman was always getting beat, Maskaev knocked him out twice.. Couldn't even beat lard ass Toney.. Toney probablt had a more impressive HW stint than Jones.. Both juiced to high heaven too .. I don't find the Ruiz win as impressive as some people I just don't.. Ruiz was awful.. hugged as much as vladimir Klitschko but unlike vlad had 0 power & no footwork .... there are many light heavyweights over recent years I would favour over John Ruiz..

Holyfield was in his late 30s you are correct, but he was fresh off giving a prime Lennox Lewis a very close fight. So Ruiz splitting a trilogy with Holyfield has some relevance. Again i'm not trying to hype up John Ruiz i hate him as a fighter, and i'm sure most people on this forum hate his fights and rightly so. All i'm saying is that despite his ugly style, he actually has some underrated wins on his record. He's definitely one of those fighters that over achieved despite his lack of skills.
