I am so sick and tired of you talking crap about Calzaghe

Yeah but when you really analyze his resume, it stinks of ****....even you can'tdeny that man.

Yeah, I know, how DARE Joe Calzaghe, age 36, face Roy Jones, age 39. It's an absolute disgrace man. :-(

 

Yeah, Dawson can beat Calslappy. I'm sure of that. Calzaghe probably feels this way too. IF Calzaghe decides to fight and beat a young and hungry opponent with solids skills then maybe people wouldn't be so hard on him. Cherry picking over the hill, past their prime legends does not solidify Calzgahe as a great champion.

 

Using age alone to gauge Calzaghe's level of competitiveness is silly. Tyson was very past his peak by 23, Morales by 30, and Roy by 34 whereas Calzaghe didn't really peak until he was 30 or older. Different styles and fighters age in different ways and at different paces His style has aged well and this is obvious. Don't use age alone as an argument, as it is ignorant.

 

I think the following fighters have the capability (30% or more chance) to beat Calzaghe, were they to fight:

Hopkins, Kessler and Dawson, and possibly even Bute. Doesn't mean it is guaranteed, but Calzaghe is beatable.

I wasn't "gauging Calzaghe's level of competitivenes" or making any kind of argument, so accusing me of being ignorant is somewhat bizzare, but Ok.

I was simply highlighting the misconception that some seem to have, the Calzaghe is a young and hungry fighter beating up old me. Calzaghe's age is a fact, he is 36, when he peaked is a matter of opinion. Choosing opinion over fact and using that to progress you argument is ignorant my friend.
