Now you are the one being disrespecful ...

And who says that in order to be a " man " you have to curse, diss and disrespect? That's not being a man, that's being childish and immature and having lack of knowledge about GOD.

Being respectful doesn't come with being Cuban, Mexican, Puerto Rican, American or whatever. It comes when you understand that there's a God who sees, reads and judges everything.

" The beginning of Wisdom is the fear of the Lord "

" But surely I say to you that for every evil word men may speak, they will give account of it in the day of judgment " :good

they also start off as pro with 0 wins each

that amateur record of solis is nice, but really means **** after you have been a pro for a few years and finally step up. tyrell biggs, gold medal in olympics...career failure as a pro....henry tillman beat tyson in the pros...tilman was a failure in the pros...jorge luis gonzales...great amateur- pro FAILURE....only thing a great amatuer career does is show the odds are in favor to be a sucess as a pro than the guy who had 13 amateur fights and then turned pro... solis is a fatass....that wipes out everything he accomplished as an amateur

Yes, Solis was amateur world champ, olympic, etc... but he was also a lot LIGHTER back then too.

In 2004 when Solis won the Heavyweight Boxing Gold Medal at the Olympics, that was at 201lbs! He's now 50+ pounds north of that weight.

Exactly. When people point to Solis' amateur accomplishments at 201 as proof he can beat Vitali, then you know they are full of ****. Solis was 5 times as fast at that weight. At this point Solis' style resembles a lethargic version of Arreola's and we all saw what Vitali did to Arreola.

So the wildcard is whether Solis will show up light and fit...there is still time, when you consider how much weight Solis lost in the run-up to the Austin fight.

Oscar De la Hoya, Gold medal in the Olympics and he is a Hall of Famer...
Floyd Mayweather, Bronze medalist and he is a future Hall of Famer...
Pernell Whitaker, Gold medalist and he is an all time great ...

And there are many other great ex-amateurs who have made it very big in pro boxing. Actually, it's a matter of dedication in the pros. Some really dedicated themselves and others not, that's the difference!

But being a top amateur gives a boxer a tremendous headstart in the pros compared to another boxer that never accomplished anything as an amateur. Solis may seem like a fat ass to the vast majority of you since all of you can't see past his weight issue, but on March 19 you will think different... :good

The only thing Solis has in common with Arreola is his excess weight. In terms of ability and skill, Solis is on a completely different level. Arreola was always a hype job, even when he was a bit lighter he was crude and only looked good against poor opposition.

But Solis is also nothing like the fighter that was an amatuer world champion. The speed and explosiveness has been replaced by a much slower plodding fighter. He still has skills but is severely hampered by all that weight. Come March the 19th we will see Solis struggle to move all that weight quickly enough to get inside on Vitali. He will do better than Arreola but hell get beaten without too much difficulty.

Give all those olympians 25% body fat as a pro and you wouldn't even know who they are now.
