Nice! How long have you been providing nutrition to pro boxers? Or are the K bros your first?

Very good evaluation but Briggs is completely old and slow, anyone can look good against Briggs right now. I think Solis takes Briggs easily right now. In other words, it's very easy to look good against a sitting duck who hardly fires back. Be assured, Solis is no sitting duck. Vitaly will get tested like never before! :good

It all depends with what " eye " you watched the fight! If you watch it with a " positive eye " then Solis looked very good, fast and strong but if you watched it with a " negative " eye then he looked bad. Revelation: A negative eye is a person or a fan that doesn't like the boxer and is just trying to find something bad with him and a positive eye is a person or a fan that likes the boxer and is looking at his good things! :good

...and a neutral eye, is one that is niether a hater or a fan, but rather an unbiased individual who will look at both the positive and negative and give and honest assesment. :good

My neutral eye assesment is that Solis has a better chance at beating Vitali than Briggs, Sosnowski, Johnson, Arreola, Gomez, Peter, and Williams had.

One look at the shape the fatty is in tells me he is not disciplined enough to box at the elite level. 25% body fat isn't good for anyone, nevermind a professional prizefighter. Good for him though, the first time most casual fans will see him will also be the last time they see him. Take the money and run.

It's very hard to watch 'with positive eye' a guy who obviously doesn't take his profession seriously. But yes, he has skills but he's still too incomplete package to be given more than 15-20% changes.

Solis is a good fighter, he's got technical skill.

However, he is indeed overweight. At age 24 he was 201...and 30 he is 260.
Here's what he used to look like, now tell me Solis isn't fat.

    Here's Solis today:

Now, with that being said...yes, Solis still has talent, but being overweight it's a lot harder for him to use it, it affects everything he will try to do.
Solis can get away with this against other heavyweights, but I believe against the top fighters he'll pay dearly for it.

I just don't see anyone who is 30+ pounds overweight (not even the ATGs) beating an in shape Vitali.

I only see two possible ways that Solis could win this fight.

    1. The "Fluke" Scenario, one of those strange occurrences that happens once in every 15 blue moons.

    2. Vitali gets old overnight. (And in regards to this scenario, I could be wrong, but I believe Vitali knows his body, and if he thought he didn't have it any longer, he would hang up his gloves).

I predict that Vitali will wear him down and win via KO or TKO in Rounds 7-9.

(disclaimer: If Solis shows up at 235lbs, we could have a real fight on our hands, however that would be 10lbs lighter than Solis has ever weighed as a pro, so I think that's unlikely.)

    Thanks! I appreciate your post.

So, so far we only have 4 people here supporting me and Solis! That's ok, everyone will see that we " the minority " were right! :good

I agree, he looks muscular with some body fat all together. He is overweight yes, but I have never seen an overweight boxer that still is very fast and doesn't get tired like Solis !

It's not about being in supreme physical shape, it's about having skills and experience to fight! Of course, being in supreme shape helps but is not a guaranteed ticket to success. There have been many many chiseled and built HV boxers that haven't done anything in the pros. This is why I believe that Solis is completely different than the other " fatty " HV's. :good

Good Analisis. All I can add is that he knows it's his time , Gamboa has 2 , Rigo has 1 , soon Lara and Despaigne will have one too so he knows this is it , so at least he will give 100./. in the Ring. People talk about his weight but that won't be a problem with this Fight. What I really like about this match up is that Solis will be mentally very strong, He knows how to fight ( and beat ) Russians, Ucranians, Moldovans, etc , in fact most of his most dificults fights have been against boxers of that Nations , so he will be confident. For the people that mention the names of Arreola , Briggs , Peter , Haye and all those 3rd Grade Fighters all I can say is that Solis is miles ahead of all of them put together( Schooling, Results, Titles, etc ) Peace.

Gamboa Express I not convinced Solis will turn up in shape. If Solis tries to do it with boxing training he will burn out. Do you know if he mixes it up.

That is one day a week taking time out to climb/walk up a mountain, kayaking a whole day, mountaining biking up hills?

If he needs to lose weight that will shift it without risking burning out over training. If his weight stays the same doing that he will be fine.
