So the logic here is: Savon KOd a bunch of guys, but he didn't KO Solis. That's why Solis will KO Vitali?

Did I get the chain of arguments right?

No, that's not the exact point. The point is that since Savón couldn't KO Solis in 3 amateur fights that means that Solis has a granite Chin and great recuperation powers. That means that Vitaly will not be able to KO him, maybe a stoppage on cuts ( which I doubt it since Solis is not prone to cuts and has great defence ), so Vitaly must win on points.

Not an easy task as Solis will present the fight to Vitaly like no other and will not back away from him while pressuring him with constant aggression. :good

I think Vitali looks better when fighters are pressuring him, rather than sitting back. See Vitali - Arreola, & Vitali - Sanders for fighters pressuring him....now look at Vitali - Johnson, Johnson just laid back all night and avoided the fight.

Great post, great explanation! That's right, the vast mojority of people don't understand the Cuban boxing system and they think that is just like the other Countries but is not. You forgot to mention a very important factor, " PASSION ". !!!

Solis has said he doesn't enjoy boxing. And he's went from 201, to 260 in 6-years. Would you consider that passion?

No, I was referring to Cuban fighters ( inside the Island ) in general. Over there they have plenty of passion, ( they actually box for free ), but the problem starts when they defect and they lose that passion.

Another important factor is that over there if a boxer doesn't take things seriously then he is taken off the Cuban Team and they replace him with someone else ( that there are plenty to chose from ), so boxers ( and it also applies to all sports ), need to be always serious and in training or else lose the spot in the Team and that means losing any opportunity to get out of the Country in competitions and bringing home much needed supplies for their families!

But once they turn pro and the thousands start coming in many of them lose that passion as they know that now they don't have anyone after them making them train, and eat the gym. Now, they can relax and enjoy what they missed in the Cuban Communist system for all their lives!

People are always saying this lie about Solis , I think that because they see him put on some weight they ASSUMED that he doesn't have passion for the game , I still have to see the ACTUAL interview where Solis says this, o better yet : A video of Solis saying this , I think the reason Solis put on so much weight is because he's looking for more POWER in the Pro game , I think that he himself has said this , I personally don't like it and think it's wrong, he knows that he's not a KO artist , he can punch but not always gets the KO,that happened to him a lot in Cuba , so he think that weight will give him power , I think this is a mistake , his real power resides in his movement , his legs , I remember that he was more loose and that he used to throw a lot more punches than now , He was like a Gamboa Heavy Weight with better chin. Let's wait and see how it goes in the 19th of March.

I know, Solis used to be a tremendous fast HV. But I think that his weight increase has given him more KO power, plus I think that he has gained weight in muscle, that's why he looks very wide. Solis' weight is a combination of muscle and fat, that's why he is always between 260 to 270. But this time I am thinking that he may come in much lighter at around 250lbs, but then again Solis may just come in again at 260lbs and still kick Vitaly's butt and it won't surprise me at all. :good
