    The TS is a Cuban. It is expected that he will nut hug Cuban fighters. He is very wrong though in his prediction. He should man up and eat his crow.

    It only seems to be the ones from the last couple of Olympics that get nuthugged. This seems to be a young generation of Cuban boxing fans.

    '92 Gold medalist Casamayor got no love from his countrymen when he was around...at least nowhere near as much as the recent defectors (who all seem to use the buddy system and come in groups...Solis/Gamboa/Barthelemy, Rigondeaux/Despaigne/Johnson...and then Lara and someone else, I think)

    Casamayor had a better style and skills than all those guys, too.

    Solis showed in that round that he was a more skilled fighter, Vitali didn't knock **** out, Solis injured himself. People just want to crucify someone for the short fight. **** happens, we didn't get a fight. The threadstarter shouldn't be ashamed of anything, Solis showed skills then an accident happened and we didn't get to see how it would've played out.

    Yeah, Solis was wobbled and went down pretty easy on the first decent power punch landed in the fight. What a complete joke of a fight.

    Good points! Obviously the information superhighway is giving many more a voice.

    I am Slavic and enjoy supporting my guys but I would also be remiss to not appreciate what the Nation of Cuba has done for boxing. It has basically the same population of Uzbekistan but consistantly produces top amateur fighters.

    I just do not see the same respect being given back by many Cuban fight fans. I have some theories on this but I want to keep the tone civil.

    Watch it again, he landed more than that. He showed superior movement, timing and speed. I would pick Solis in a rematch, I was unsure before this fight.
