Gomez had over 300 amateur fights for Cuba, won gold, former world champion. Gomez is 6 feet 4 inches tall, fast good experience.

Vitali is 6 foot 8 inches tall, weighs approx 251 give or take, can go 12 rounds easily, had great amateur record, won International title, World Title, World Military Champion as amateur. No fat on Vitali, stays in shape, great defense, great chin, has speed, is accurate puncher, etc. Solis looked awful against Austin, who Vlad knocked out in the second round using only his left hand! Solis was sucking wind, easy to hit, could not sustain a pace.

If you are so sure about it I'd recommend you betting some $$ on Solis. So far, he is like +500 underdog. Although you have to be careful, Atlas already cursed him ;-)

 

Solis has looked terrible every time ive watched him.I dont think he has any kind of chance in this fight.He will be out of shape as ever and it will be round after round of him being kept at range.He will most probably be pulled out by the corner at some point.

I see no reason that anyone would believe Solis will defeat Vitali who in my opinion is the best HW on the planet. Never have I even considered that Solis is the best HW on the planet, he lacks committment, he is skilled, but he is not anywhere near the fighter that Vitali is. The only hope Solis would have is that Vitali gets super old, super fast. It's not that Solis "couldn't win", it's that he's simply not as good, committed, or strong as Vitali.

I have to admit Gamboa Express is pretty hilarious.

 

I am not sure he is wrong.

Boxing brain, skills, chin, defence and power I agree with.

Hungry not sure. As a pro he has been overweight and never got out of second gear.

Plus points is him losing 11 pounds since Monte. A 245 pound Solis I would agree has a great chance to beat Vitali. That would mean he has trained a 100% and wants it.

So far nobody has even given him a decent fight as a pro. My worry is he thinks he can turn up win and eat another pizza.

Skillwise Solis is a country mile better than anybody Vitali has fought since Lewis.

I will decide whether I agree at the weighin.

 

I would like to get behind Solis.

But the guy isn't gathering good karma to him. He comes across as flatly delusional. It's not just the delusions about his weight, it's also the whole of his attitude. Also, his management seems kinda shady.

Vitali seems grounded in reality, Solis seems grounded in delusion.
