I used to hope and believe that Solis would be the man to beat a Klitschko and I clung to that belief long after I shouldn't have. But I've faced reality, Solis is a fat slob and nowadays he reminds me in many ways of Gomez post-Vitaly.

Right on. Glad to see someone who thinks just like me in here. Solis carries his weight very good and hasn't lost any speed nor stamina and actually has more power than before. But people always want to see a Tyson or Holyfield type of chiseled fighter in order for them to think that he can succeed. :good

If Helenius beat the slim amateur version of Odlanier Solis, Vitali will stomp the overweight lazy Odlanier Solis.

I like Odlanier, I just think he's not dedicating himself the way he should be. After all this is a profession, and why not be your very best?

I understand and agree with your post but I don't think that Solis needs to be at 230lbs in order to beat Vitaly. I have seen his early fights at 243lbs ( which is very low compared to now ) and he looks about the same, this is what a lot of people are failing to see that Solis' weight is not a problem unlike other fat HV's.

Solis won every major International amateur event. So I don't even know who this Robert Helenius is. Please explain in better details ...

NOPE. I will repeat it again just in case other's have missed it. Yes I am Cuban but there are other Cuban boxers ( and HV's ) that I am not totally convinced of. Back in the days, I never gave much attention to Cuban HV Castillo nor Gomez. Now we have Ismaikel Perez who even though is in great physical shape is not in Solis' level as Solis is in another league in the amateurs or pro ...

Well, I am not saying for him to come in again at 270lbs like against Barrett but at 260lbs he looks a lot better, still has his speed and of course he hits harder! Keep in mind that Solis is just 6'1 1/2 and he needs to be strong for a HV. Vitaly himself weighs around 255lbs and Solis is 260lbs, Vitaly will not be able to push him away like others in the past.

Gamboa Express - I back your bravery and unlike some will not resort to childish insults. There is no need for it.

I will say that, on this occasion, I think you are absolutely mad. As much as I'd want it to be true, Solis has done literally nothing to suggest that he could beat VK.

Having said that, if you are proved right, I will make my first ever Avatar a Cuban flag in your honour.

Vitaly is normally somewhere around 250.

He had no problem 'pushing away' the likes of Shannon Briggs and Danny Williams, though.

Sorry mate, but I see no way for Solis to win this fight.
