Ward should fight Froch like he fought Kessler.. Fast counters with a headbutt landing after..

What defense is that? you mean the leaping in head below waist, then transitioning in to a clinch? On the rare occasions that Abraham landed shots, was when Ward wasn't diving in low and was at range.

I get a feeling if Ward tries that **** against Froch,he eats a big uppercut. Rob McCraken is a sound trainer they will look at Ward's ducking low and leaping to clinch crap and figure out a solution hopefully. Abraham was able to land the odd jab early on. There is no doubt Froch can land them. There were a few rounds where Bika roughed Ward up. He's not as invincible as some of you think. Also Froch isn't as limited as others think either, so he's in with a real chance here.

I think that would be key for Froch to beat Ward. How will he be able to counter that BHOP style punch>lunge>grab style that he has. Despite what you think of his style, it is VERY affective, as shown against AA.

I think Sauerland wants Kessler to fight Ward right away after his tune tune up fightsbut Showtime doesn't want that. He may have to face Bute before, the winner taking the super 6 winner.

November the 5th could be the date for bute-Kessler.

Ive been saying this since like 5 years ago (http://www.eastsideboxing.com/forum/showthread.php?t=104907), ward is the future p4p #1. I just knew instantly since seeing him win the gold that he had the goods. He will totally thrash Froch, mark my words. Froch has very poor defense btw. The thing about Ward is he can fight on the inside (see kessler fight) on the outside (see abraham fight), he can initiate the action, he can counterpunch, and he can truly fight with both stances (personally, I think he is better at southpaw). And I still love seeing peeps eat their words after losing all hope when he got knocked down all those years ago. I love how people trash a fighter after one bad performance or sign of weakness. They just cant get it past their heads that guys learn from mistakes. They would rather get behind guys like Calzaghe or lately Floyd who care about their bull**** 0's duckin and dodgeing. Ward is going to keep his 0, and fight whoever, wherever. I dont know how you fcks cant get behind a guy like that. And he brought us home the gold you twats (if your american).

There's a lot to like about Ward and not much to criticise. He should be favourite to beat Froch should they meet in the Final.

The guy has variety, he's good at a lot of things. He has a fast peircing jab, athleticism, movement and craftiness, he can mix it inside, outside and mid-range, can rough things up or show some panache. He has a good pedigree and is also progressing.

Make no mistakes, the powers that be want to make a superstar of this guy also so getting decisions against him will be more difficult than negotiating peace in the Middle East.

Should Froch get to the Final then he has to be peaking and super focussed to come away with the win. IMO he'd have to get inside Ward's head EARLY in this fight, it's possible Carl's unorthodox style could be problematic for Andre and especially if The Cobra can put some sting in his shots to earn respect and keep the S.O.G guessing/honest in the opening exchanges. Even so I think Ward will solve the puzzle through rounds 5-9 and make life difficult for Froch, mixing things up and landing more jabs and combinations. The Championship Rounds would then prove KEY to winning this fight, Ward will be ahead and by now it will be nigh impoossible to get a decision against Boxings next Superstar. A few people have mentioned Ward's penchant to throw>lunge>grab and as both fighters tire this is were Froch's strength and stamina possibly could win the day, maybe just maybe Ward could be vulnerable and get caught with bombs as he initiates clinches in the Chamionship Rounds. That's if the Road Warrior doesn't put a spanner in the works.

At this moment I'd take Ward to win a decision but that could change should Froch reach the S6 Final in some style .......

Ward will beat Froch, then beat Bute, and people will still find a reason to complain

He's gonna bring his running shoes to the fight with Froch, you can believe that.

I was thinking the same thing. Ward does a lot of low ducking then leap-clinching.....i think uppercuts would be on the menu should Froch get to the final.
