I Am Still Furious Over Margarito's Attempted Cheating

how did they find this out and who found it out. was this after the fight they found out or before the fight?

 

anyone, and i mean anyone, will go down eventually under sustained pressure.

two pet hates of mine are people saying that someone is shot because they lost a fight after the age of 32.....and someone is chinny or doesn't have a granite chin because they proved that they were human for the first time in their life.

OK, I'll lay a few of these on ya. Panama Lewis ring a bell during the first Aaron Pryor fight (possibly giving his fighter the chemical advantage, "No, no, the one I mixed")? Tito quite possibly did the same **** as Margs, I don't see you skewering him. The mob and boxing? Doesn't that equal a whole base of cheating and thrown fights that ruin the total integrity of the sport. And only now, people are getting really touchy about packed gloves? Ali used to hold his opponents heads down and uppercut them during the match, same with Lennox Lewis.

Read up man, you need a serious injection of knowledge in the sport of boxing.


Edit: Uh, isn't Shane Mosley in the same boat with this BALCO issue? Seriously, check your facts before you open your yap.

 

He is a cheating **** and it was so sweet to see him knocked out for it. Karma at its absolute finest.

 

The thing that I'm most pissed about is that if he was cheating against Cotto and Cotto turns into the next Meldic Taylor, which after that beating he very well might. Then Margarito ruined one of the best boxers of our time not by skill but because he was fighting with ****ing casts on his hands. Thats a complete diregard for another mans life and its bull ****. As far as tonight goes, he got bussted and got the beating he had coming all in one night. Long live Shane Mosely!

 

Chuvalo fought the best, including Ali and Patterson and never got hurt, let alone went down in his 15 year career.

 

you're saying that after one fight against one of the best fighters in the world, with one of the best resumes, who also has one of the best KO ratios.

just because the names you mentioned didn't go down doesn't mean they wouldn't if they fought some of those guys again.

i fought quite a few amateur fights, and even though i was lucky enough to never get knocked out and i did get counted a few times.

but there were fights that i looked back on with satisfaction that i won but i knew could have been different because the bugger hurt me.

because someone doesn't go down doesn't mean they aren't hurt either which is important to remember.

It's funny that you mention Panama Lewis. The incident that was considered his worst transgression, and the one that got him banned, was when he loaded up Louis Resto's gloves. Loading up gloves is the worst form of cheating boxing. Anyway, regardless of what anyone else did, Margo still cheated. Bringing up other people's transgression is nothing but a red herring.

 

prime mosley beats him even better, sure.

maybe you're forgetting that underskilled fighters like margarito don't get to the highest level of boxing unless they have a chin. that's why you don't see so many 'raw' fighters like tony around at world class level.

saying that mosley schools margarito even more when he's prime isn't even related to what i'm talking about.

the bottom line is that the boxing world would never have heard of margarito at this level if he didn't have the chin to back him up - and oscar also has his chin to thank to getting him up there.

being easy to hit means you need a granite chin to survive in boxing - particularly if you don't have the skillset to back it up.
