Not a robbery. Perhaps the wrong decision. When a robbery occurs, it isn't a split decision and the scorecards are very different.
Why the hell is he even making the apology on behalf of Britain? I thought the judges were all foreign.
It went almost as I called it. I felt that Froch would have a nightmare dealing with Dirrell's speed, which he did. I also felt that it was going to be very untidy, which it was. From before the bell I could see Dirrell was very nervous, big night nerves I suppose, if he'd snapped that jab of his out a lot more in the first 4 he might have got a draw. The only way he was gonna get a decision in that ring would be to knock him out. Froch looked really bad in there, one dimensional, clumsy and slow, and easily frustrated. He should have watched a bit more footage of Dirrell before fighting him instead of saying "I know what I have to do". When they announced the decision I thought "**** off!!!" How can someone win a fight by lunging at thin air, punching the back of people's heads and generally being a plodder? The rematch doesn't bode well for Froch, Kessler is blatantly going to do a number on him and I don't even know what to say will happen if he fights Abraham, that guy's punching power is scary.
I had Dirrel winning by two rounds, but the point deduction hurt him. That being said if he fought positively for just two rounds he would have left the judges with no option, for me he displayed poor tactics, did he and his team really think they could be that negative go aboard and take the title?
Dirrell schooled froch easy and the only froch really landed a punch was in the clinch and even then he hit dirrell in the back of the head along with the slam, that ref didn't dirrell at all neither, dirrell showed froch hes not on his skill level and i liked dirrell's composure on this stage.
Dirrel won. He was not running. That was RING GENERALSHIP and BOXING SKILL and HEART. And what a piece of **** is Froch for what he said all after the fight about Dirrel. Abraham will have KTFO Froch when they meet.
WTF is up with apologizing on behalf of a whole country for something like that.... Who r u to have that "grandious-airness" and authority to it? What about all the british ppl that still think , with good reason btw, that Froch won?... just thinking, you know!?!?
Dirrell won for me, clearly, BUT the ref wasn't a Brit, the judges weren't Brits...it was bad scoring and not too hot refereeing that can occur the world over. Froch was the champ, Dirrell and up coming contender of course Froch should deserve home advantage, but I'm not happy to blame the bad result simply on 'bad Britain' it was 'bad judging'.
**** off you twat. Dirrell ran, clinched, leant on Froch over the ropes, complained everytime he got hit, and fell down about 3 times to the canvas when Froch had him lined up for big punches. You can't go to a champions backyard and expect to claim the belt with a performance that negative.
What's up with the whole "NEGATIVE" thing. That sounds pretty gay and I am sure that it was Froch manager who told him to bring that whole "NEGATIVE" thing in the world. Froch is an ******* and will get KTFO soon
Dirrell didn't want to fight. He didn't want to engage. He didn't wanna make a statement and wrestle that belt from Froch. He went into the ring with one intention, and that was to avoid fighting Froch by any means necessary. You don't call that a negative performance? Look at the amount of times he clinched and wrestled around on the inside, and then he complained everytime Froch hit him. A few strayed round the back of the head, but all Dirrell did was lean his head in and that makes it impossible for Froch to connect. He leant over on Froch over the ropes with his elbow and head in on numerous occasions. He fell to the canvas a couple of times when he was about to get hit. And that's not the mention the constant running around the ring. Now I'm all for lateral movement & out-boxing a guy off the back-foot, but to do so you have to counter with your own punches. Dirrell merely ran around side-to-side flicking out an occassional jab for practically the full 12 rounds.
While you're there, you might as well apologize for British occupation of India and the invention of crumpets (still debating which caused more damage to world peace...)
