You know what else isent reasonable ? Ali knocking out Tyson in the second round.
Do you want to know what else isent reasonable on top of all the unreasonablness ? You taking a video game bout serious. Lol.

Muhammad Ali never had a punch. Even in his first title reign from 1964-1967, Ali could not punch. Sure Ali knocked out Brian London and Cleveland Big Cat Williams in 1966, but Williams had been gut shot in Nov 1964 by a Texas State Trooper, and London almost did not get the title bout as the British Boxing Board Of Control almost did not sanction that mismatch in August 1966, London was unrated.

I won't comment on your take about Ali's jab or other boxing stuff.

But Tyson's mentality...have you never heard him speak about how scared he was nearly his entire life? He describes his emotional state as a young man many times in interviews. If Ali could make Sonny Liston think he was crazy, then he'd certainly make Mike a broken man pre fight

That's all I'm going to say or respond.

A simulation should be as close to reality as possible. My mistake is taking the likes of you seriously.

This is exactly how I knew you'd respond, I don't know nothing about boxing, but by Golly what a cop out, excuse making, know nothing, no good cliche Ali fan you are.

I agree Douglas was better on that one night.

But Norton’s career and specifically the 3 fight dynamic between he and an ever ageing and increasingly worn/torn Ali was not at all comparable to Douglas’s career otherwise nor Buster’s own one night only success against a prime and previously undefeated Iron Mike Tyson.

I've said time it before but to me Norton is similar to Douglas he just got rematches, he had one good win over a disinterested ATG on his record that made him and a bunch of nothing else, the difference is for some reason Ken Norton is regarded as an ATG which is pure comedy.

Hey Rich, good point on Ali not having a punch. The Ring Magazine published a collectors special in June of 2022 ( I know because I own a copy) of the 100 greatest punchers of the last 100 years and Ali did not make the cut. That by itself speaks volumes imo.

It sure does speak volumes, the thing that bothered Muhammad Ali first title reign from 1964-1967, Ali was that many former champions mainly Rocky Marciano, stated during the Ali vs Karl Mildenberger title bout on Sept 10 1966, that Ali lacked the brutal killer instinct and punch to get rid of a Mildenberger. After Ali's TKO 3 of Cleveland Big Cat Williams on Nov 14 1966, Ali was starting to say that he could punch because of his destruction of Williams.

Its interesting that your taking a dig at my post which was obviously ridiculous and fun to counter the OP. Why haven't you engaged with the OP @MixedMartialLaw who gave a thorough breakdown of his AI simulation if seriousness is what you want?
And btw I forgive you for your mistake of taking me serious, just don't let it happen again.

I'm not sure on that, my friend. I think Ali easily had the smarts, intimidation, and ring IQ to have stopped Mike even then.

I see Mike making it maybe 8 rounds against 60s Ali. I don't see him making it 10 against Zaire Ali. After Zaire sure, Mike is a favorite.

I think Zaire was where a lot of things came together for post-prime Ali, Not many fighters in heavyweight history could have beaten him even then, especially punchers imo.

Just as long as we do not initiate another tireless Muhammad Ali vs Mike Tyson thread.
