All of this Dawson is ducking Diaconu talk is ridiculous. We're talking about a fighter who in 3 of his last 5 fights will have faced Tomasz Adamek, Glen Johnson, and Antonio Tarver. But he's scared to fight Adrian Diaconu? :huh If Dawson was so afraid of "The Shark" he wouldn't have signed to fight him last year when Diaconu was coming off a performance where he looked like a monster. Diaconu looked like **** against Henry, and arguably even lost. So why would Dawson be afraid now? Diaconu has done nothing to even consider being "duck" worthy.

Tarver, though on the down side of his career, is still a stiffer challenge than Diaconu at this point. I'm favoring Tarver to KO Dawson, while I'd favor Dawson to outpoint Diaconu relatively comfortably, and possibly even stop him late.

I know I will not because you are Romiania and Diaconu is clouds you on reality of the sport and position of your guy in the boxing world, You just don'r understand Showtimes have zero interest in Your boy and have been pushing this fight with Tarver since this time last year

Ducking mostly ain't about being afraid and altough there are a million excuses for Diaconu in which he looked tired with Henry he still got the job done and won even if barely

Nothing to do with "afraid", but if you insist of talking about "afraid", he's afraid of the risk/reward involved in fighting Diaconu, given the alternative risk/reward of fighting Tarver. There you go...afraid.

Ducking = Dodging your mandatory challenger

Decebal, why do you discredit Diaconus ability while somehow still trying to make him seem credible? Makes no sense.....but call a spade a spade for christsakes....He has power yes, but he also has great defense, uses his height to his advantage and most importantly he can counterpunch. He is constantly studying his opponent and is a master of timing and distance. This is why he's a threat to Dawson and anybody for that matter not because of his power....

I understand man why you are angry about all this, but this is the way it works, your boy had the window last year and he got injuried, then big thing opened up for Chad, Johnson and Tarver.

How about dodging the mandatory that has earned his right to fight for the title and in the process would've gained Dawson his career high payday and to top it off he wouldve been able to fight Tarver comfortably had he won......What the **** is wrong with some of you people:huh

I'm sorry that I insulted your Romanian hero, but he has to show something in the ring to deserve all the hype he gets on this forum.

I have never overrated Diaconu, or the other Romanian/Canadian - Bute, ever. Diaconu doesn't look like a world beater to me, but he does have a better chance of beating Dawson than Tarver does, because of his power and style and Dawson's chin and style. I agree with what you point out as being Diaconu strengths, but I think you are overrating the extent of those strengths, that's all. You think Dawson would have gotten beaten by Diaconu. I thought not, but I thought it was a fight Dawson had to take to prove himself.

Anyway, how good Diaconu really is is immaterial to the subject at hand. Even if Diaconu would have been really bad, Dawson still ducked him, still lied about it and still wanted everyone to pat him on the back for fighting a fighter who he himself desribes as as finished no-hoper instead. He also thinks he proved he was better than Calzaghe, Hopkins, etc in his performance against Johnson. I disagree with that too.

Well, in this case, what is it about? Tarver is more accomplished than Diaconu. He presents a tougher match up stylistically. And he brings a lot more money to the table than Diaconu.

Low reward, high risk-that what it is.And in no way Tarver is a tougher match-up,he looked bad for 2 years straight. And btw the MONEY IS THE SAME:deal
