I appreciate the consideration, it's my little girls 3rd B-day, jumping off a bridge would be pretty selfish and borderline tacky...lol. I agree, it certainly merrits a re-watch.
Scoring wise, this is the way you look at it. Round 1 10-8 Pascal Round 2 10-9 Pascal Round 3 10-8 Pascal Round 4 10-9 Pascal Round 5 9-10 Hopkins Round 6 9-10 Hopkins Round 7 9-10 Hopkins Round 8 9-10 Hopkins Round 9 10-10 Hopkins Round 10 9-10 Hopkins Round 11 9-10 Hopkins Round 12 10-10 Draw ________________________ 114-114 DRAW Hopkins dominated the fight, but if you look at how they score in boxing, it could easily be a draw!
I didn't find anything wrong with the decision, though I did give the nod to B Hop. No robberies tonight plus props to the ref I felt he did an awesome job!
Cant wait to score this fight. For the Europeans to be so drastically trying to defend the decision, Hopkins must have put on an awesome performance.
He sure did but when you add score cards, it was quite close...no robberies. Pascal was already up by 5 before the start of the 4th... 30-25 Out of the last 9 rounds from 4 to 12, I gave Pascal 2 more.
Which ones? I recall the 8th and 12th being close, as well as another one or two that I can't remember. I gave the 8th to Hopkins on workrate (yeah, that just happened), as I thought everything else was equal but Hopkins was the one forcing the exchanges (and usually landing the final punch, backing Pascal off). I felt like the 8th went more the way Hopkins wanted it to go than Pascal. The 12th I really think could go either way or even. Again, I gave it to Hopkins. He seemed to be getting his way, although Pascal had more than his share of success as well. It just looked like Pascal was coming away hurt from all the exchanges, BHop was landing last, and Pascal was dead tired.
