Have you ever actually seen Mike Tyson work his way inside? I mean the footspeed and head movement is something no one has seen since.

Plus, he could take massive punishment. I don't think either brother has seen anyone in his league except Lennox.. And well.. we know how that turned out.

    Good points.

I think Mike realized that Holyfield's chin was on another level even to a great contender like Razor Ruddock. He was probably encouraged by Ruddock's willingness to exchange with him frequently knowing he'd gain the upperhand. He wasnt willing to deal with the counterpunching/clinch clinic Holyfield put on him. Perhaps in '91 Holy trades the same with him, but not the 34-yr old battle worn ex-champ.

    :good

I believe a 91 Showdown betewwn Tyson-Holyfield would have been much more intruiging then 96....I wonder wether Holy would have been sucked into a brawl like he did in the 1st Bowe fight....That was his downfall, 96 Holy was quite smart against Tyson, utilizing his counterpunching & keeping Tyson at bay... Speaking about Tyson too, in my opinion he had a lot better mental fortitude pre-prison, in 96 he was just a crazy sideshow.

Tyson-Holyfield 1991 is up there with many of my fantasy match-ups

    Most Definitely.

My gut tells me Holyfield loses in equally courageous and admirable fashion as he did to Bowe the first go-round. Usually people fall into the line of thinking that Tyson loses any fantasy match-up in which he doesnt KO his man. Hogwash. He could win a decision just as easily. That aggressive style and lightning quick hands are just as useful for outlanding, hurting and taking rounds as they are for knocking people dead. I cant see Holyfield getting stopped at that point anymore than I can imagine a supremely determined '91 Tyson losing.

:patsch nope, i've never watched a Tyson fight, you caught me . And yes he could, but Douglas and Holyfield both managed to stop him, the former when Tyson was definitely still prime. I'm not saying the Klitschko's smack him around the ring all night, I'm just saying I'm not sure he tears right through them, especially Vitali.

    I concur.

    Vitali is a Bad Mother****er.

He edges 37-year-old Holyfield as the best fighter on Lewis' resume. Which makes it funny how Lewis fanboys proclaim what a **** fighter he is.
