I believe Bivol can move up and dethrone Usyk à la Spinks Holmes

Holmes was stationary when he fought Spinks and was as slow as Foreman. Styles aren’t even comparable.

Bivol will take a long time to recover from his injuries if they are legitimate

Bivol himself said it was to correct and issue that had nagged him for a decade. Awfully convenient that he does it at a time that benefits him most. Wins all of the belts in a very close and competitive rematch of a fight that he lost and then tells everyone in the division to go **** off for a year+

Bivol is never going to be remembered at the better fighter. Waited until Beterbiev was 40 and still couldn't decisively beat him across 2 fights and was happy to see the final bell both times(if championship boxing was still 15 rounds Beterbiev would stop Bivol 10 out of 10 times). Clearly a match that needs a trilogy ASAP. Father time might actually creep up on Bivol during this hiatus though, might not be a wise move on his part. Outlandish Hyperbolic threads like this just go to show how overrated Bivol has become with some boxing fans. Of the two it's actually Beterbiev who would give Usyk some issues(even today) smaller boxer-punchers are harder for Usyk to deal with than big heavyweights are. It's always been that way. I actually think that would have been a great legacy matchup for both if politics didn't prevent Beterbiev from unifying at 175 sooner. Have to lean strongly towards Usyk of course in that one, but Beterbiev would be much more live in it than many would give him credit for.

    I agree

Beterbiev wanted it in 2018 but Eddie Hearn blocked it.
