Exactly. After 2 years with Roach you would have thought Amir would have a reasonable grasp of them by now, wouldn't you?

Yeah, and Roach's 'speciality' suits Khan just fine, judging by recent reults. He's still so young, let's see where he gets eh before pontificating on how Roach isn't good enough for him.

roach is good no doubt but his fighters all have the same weaknesses of not being great inside fighters/clinchers and eating uppercuts.

its ok for chavez, pac, penalosa etc but khan doesn't have the chin for it.

10th round against Maidana says he does.

I'll tell you what though, on the chin issue; I listened to the interview with Floyd Sr. last week and he was talking about how Pac and Khan's chins have developed under Roach. He was saying something ain't right, and without wanting to raise the whole PED debate I think I agree with him.

He is doing well with Roach so far,I dont see any reason for a change.Steward is without question a great coach but its worked well so far with Roach, why change it.
You can pick faults in his fights under Roach especially in with Maidana. To be honest in that one i would say its Marcus who maybe needs to look for for a better coach.

Yeah, that's the one. Where he spent 2 minutes being battered around the ring, taking flush shots on his glass chin from one of the hardest punchers in the sport but never went down.

".......Steward's biggest success was stopping Lennox falling over himself as he threw the right hand. It's a very amateur move and something Khan does too. Also, like Lewis, Khan still backs up in a straight line"............posted by taylor.......
i agree, amir falls forward,is sqaure on more as a fight goes on.
hes doing great and there are improvements, yes he does lose the plot and gets carried away going toe to toe, great i say.makes for great action.Lets hope he keeps bringing us exciting fights this year
