I Believe Spence Will Ruin Mikey Garcia's Career.

I think Spence ruines Mikey but Mikey still wipes the floor with Loma.

Mikey bashes Tank as well, and tank beats Lomas ass

 

Robert will save Mikey at the first sign of real trouble.

Mikey's taking this fight because 147 lbs is a "prestige division" and 135 lbs isn't. There's better money at Welter Weight. He'll get a bigger purse than if he fights Loma at 135 lbs.

Soon enough it will be virtually impossible for Loma to make money at any weight below 140 lbs because at those weights he's certain to win. So he'll be forced to move up to 140 lbs. Loma won't be in as much trouble at 140 lbs. as Mikey is at 147 - but Loma will be vulnerable at 140.

 

Garcia will win and Spence is overrated IMO. Sure he can clip Garcia but if he doesn't I think he is in for a boxing lesson.

 

He is a live underdog.

 

I do think Spence Jr is a bit over-hyped and I do think Mikey can score on him pretty well because (among other things) Spence Jr doesn't really box on the move and he's not the hardest boxer to hit in general. Mikey is skilled and very adaptable. He has shown himself to be very capable of nullifying the advantages of his opponents (most recently, Robert Easter Jr's reach).

But I seriously don't think Mikey can carry 147 lbs for 10-12 rounds. He may well be leading or close to leading after a handful of rounds - but I don't think he's going to stop Spence Jr before he tires. And I think once he does tire he's going to need to quit on his stool before Spence Jr. bombs the f**k out of him.

This. Garcia is being seriously underestimated on here. Garcia is easily better than anyone Spence has fought and Spence’s defense and durability are very suspect. If Spence doesn’t hurt Garcia early he’ll be eating counter rights all night.

 

By no means do I consider Spence to be some kind of defensive magician but he is definitely above average defensively and very underrated as of late in that regard. As far as his durability goes, what leads you to believe it's suspect?

 

Yeah possibly. In a similar way to Brook. These guys need to stop playing around with weight jumps, some of these guys are delusional as ****. It’s not just about lbs from muscle, fat and water. Frame and bone density is the real killer. Stay in your lane. Garcia is a career chubby checker he’s in for a brutal arse whooping.

 

I thought Shane Mosley was biting off more than he could chew when he made the same jump to fight DLH. I realize Mosley took a couple of tuneups, but Spence is no DLH, while Garcia is as good or better than Mosley, IMO.
On the other hand, Mosley started his career at lightweight while Garcia started at 126. But still, Garcia is being sold short.
He's a better technical boxer than Spence, and will outbox him and win on points if he can avoid the big shot for 12.
