Garcia never has faced a pressure fighter of this magnitude. It's going to hurt when Spence hits him on the shoulders arms face body anywhere Spence lands. If Broner and Easter had not been scared to get hit the outcome of those fights could have been different. We could be looking at a 2 to 3 round fight folks. Micky's training and acting like he not going to get touch this fight.
I had Mosley beating Oscar but I knew he was out of his league vs winky Wright. I think spence beats Oscar head to head at 147.
It could very well be that this is a fake fight. Spence may carry Mikey and win a UD without hurting Mikey much. Possibly similar to how Canelo carried Chavez Jr.
I don't. Prime DLH was better than any active welter. Hands way too fast for a guy as stationary as Spence.
I always think when an elite fights and elite something interesting always happens. I think Mikey does better than people say he will. As far as ruining his career. On another thread about refs. we talked about Davey Pearl and how he stopped the Hearns fight in 1981 before Ray did a lot of damage. So, it matters when the fight is stopped.. If too late it can hurt his career, if he does not take too much damage he can fight on and hopefully it does not affect him mentally. One loss will not hurt Mikey, and losing to Spence if Spence turns out to be a top fighter like Hearns or Leonard or Duran will not hurt Mikey. He just lost to another top fighter. It happens. I think it is better he is fighting him than now. Taking chances is the mark of a great fighter.
Whenever a smaller fighter goes up against a bigger fighter who's already a noted puncher in his weight class there's the possibility of a major disaster occurring. That's just the nature of the gamble. Personally I think Mikey is smart enough, skilled enough, and confident enough to pull the trick, else he wouldn't have taken the fight in the first place, and if he loses it won't be by a career ending beating. I'm quietly confident.
It's disgusting the way spence is overrated in this forum. The nuthugging is unreal. Whoever thinks that mikey has no chances, should be watching curling and not boxing.
