I believe this is shaping up to be the third best decade in heavyweight boxing history....

Best thing about this era? It's competitive

That's all we as consumers really need

What he’s done is absolutely remarkable.

And he has faced most stylistic challenges.

However, it’s still not realistic to believe that he could have beaten every HW great.

There’s obviously been much better HW’s than Fury and AJ, and some of whom which would have presented even tougher challenges.

Lets say imo he would be the favorite most of the times. Fury in combination with his size is an anomalie. H2h he would be a tough match up for everyone in the past. Imo to give usyk fits you need to have an atg jab and be as fast and as tough as him or you need to have a great jab and brutal one punch power with great timing and size so that leaves only ali, Holmes, wlad and lewis for usyk

You have missed the most obvious one.

The absolute worst stylistic match up for him, would have been against Mike Tyson.

I thought about it, but holyfield beat tyson (not prime but also not past it) and imo usyk is just a little bit better than holyfield everywhere

    That has no relevance whatsoever.

Foreman was coming off of a long break with new trainer and only an exhibition to shake off Zaire. Lyle might not have had Zhang's handspeed, but he was far more aggressive, athletic, and willing to move in inside and down the centre line, opening up along the way. There is an aura of surgical precision to Zhang, perhaps caused by vast amateur background, limited stamina, or simply stylistic choices, but it is not the quality that made Lyle look so ferocious against the faded Foreman.

    Because of size and power

It may even be the best ever....

Not at HW though. All 3 were big lumbering slow. I think Parker could give Usyk hell.

Is either Fury or Joshua high enough in the rankings for this to happen?

I mean, I don’t get why Fury wouldn’t be. By any fair judgment, he’s the best HW without a strap at the moment.

I think usyk will beat Parker but it will be a tough fight, Parker is quite fast with good stamina and pretty tough, I would love to see that fight. Imo Parker will beat dubois than fight usyk and after that isyk should fight the winner of kabayal vs zhang and retire. Then he would retire with 25-0 and have won 11 fights against actual or former belt holders. That would be incredible impressive

J-Park would not even be in this position had Big Bang Zhang not fought like a complete moron and handed him victory on a platter by barely throwing punches. He would've 100% sparked J-Park out cold had he even upped his punch rate even marginally.

And let's not forget a post-Usyk Chisora should be 1-1 against J-Park and dropped him in their first fight and J-Park is a career HW not a 40lb lighter CW who was having his first real fight against a HW as a pro in a shoe box sized ring

J-Park lost to AJ who Uysk whooped twice, was KO'd by Big Joe Joyce who Usyk whooped in the WSB, lost to Whyte who was KO'd by AJ and Belly who Usyk is 4-0 against, lost to Fat Andy if we're being honest, arguably lost to Hughie who is not 10% the fighter his brother is, and couldn't even put a dent in CW Jack Massey who buzzed him

So J-Park's resurgence after getting battered and KO'd by ''bum'' Big Joe Joyce consists of being handed victory on a platter by a Big Bang Zhang, who lost to ''bum'' Hrgovic or at best edged him by a point with a bogus KD, who hurt him everytime he landed and even dropped him with a grazing six inch shot which looked like he was brushing his hair or gently rubbing his head affectionately but who inexplicably opted to barely throw any punches all night

And a timid safety-first points victory over the shell of The Dosser who actually was ''damaged goods'' after Belly beat the soul out of his body in Baptism II and III because with the exception of one round where he dropped Belly he took two career destroying biblical ass whoopings for the ages. It's amusing when people act like those fights were much more competitive than they actually were outside of one round.

No agendas at play here though

The winner of Parker-Dubois is at least more credible than Fury coming off a 10-round split decision and climbing off the floor against Francis Ngannou.

It's a shame Usyk wasted so much time fighting Fury twice, and rematching Joshua. Dubois is the only HW he beat who has actually arguably earned a rematch. And there are a few deserving and potentially dangerous contenders out there right now.
Boxing fans are very stupid though. They are happy to watch endless rematches between the same old fighters, getting older and worse as they go.

Zhang has bad stamina though past the 6th round that's what cost him the victory vs Hrgovic aswell when he faded down the stretch. If he was capable of a higher punch output I'm sure he would've done it, but history tells us that if you survive the first 6 rounds vs Zhang he's a very beatable due to his poor gas tank.
