That much is true. In fact, they probably haven't heard of anyone who isn't a surviving relic of the 90s.

If a fighter's management believes him to have a glass jaw and no chance but can get him a title shot ... exactly why would they not "cash in" immediately? If he can't take a punch, he's likely to get sparked out by anyone -- especially in the heavyweight division. And if that happens, no payday.

David Price's management saw they had a strawman and tried to move him quickly, gambling that TT was too old and too overweigiht, hoping they could leapfrog into the title picture. When he got beat, they immediately took the rematch because if he lost the promoter would be able to get out of wasting big money on a guy going nowhere, and if happened to win they could again go for the quick cash-out.

Seth Mitchell same thing -- he got exposed and they put him in with Arreola because a win could vault him into the big payday picture and a loss (after the previous loss to Banks) would relieve GBP of the burden of wasting money on him.

So what sense, if Wilder's management and promoter don't think he has a chance to become champion, would it make to wait if there's a title shot in the offing? Why would they not be afraid of him getting knocked out before anyone ever making the big money?

The answer is that his power is real, and whether his glass jaw is a figments of the chin-checkers' imagination (see their about-face on Stiverne and so many others when proven wrong) or if he does indeed have shaky whiskers, they still believe one right hand could land him the big belt. Otherwise they'd be cashing in at the first opportunity.

I am sure they are afraid - which is why they feed him no-hoper after no-hoper. Against the "opposition" he has faced, the chance of him getting knocked out has been virtually nil.

And that approach shows no signs of changing. Pile up the KOs of tomato cans and journeymen, and then cash out with a big fight against a top level opponent.

Wilder's "power" is largely a product of the pathetic competition he has faced. This will be shown once he faces somebody decent. If he even has a chance to throw a punch before his glass jaw gets shattered.

Jay Deas has said Wilder won't be fighting for a title until 2015. They are in no hurry and I would not be shocked if they are waiting for both Klitschko's to retire first it would fit their agenda perfectly and have Wilder fight for a vacant belt against a less dangerous fighter. :rofl:patsch

Pulev has said he wants to fight someone before he fights Wlad and Wlad has even mentioned Wilder by name. I still like my prediction for Wlad's next opponent being Wilder.

well, pulev is nothing more than Chagev version 2. An easy win for Klitschko, like hitting a punching bag.

Vlad knocked Wilder down with a jab while sparring for the Wach fight. Wach would knock Wilder out. Vlad knows Wilder and Wilder knows he can't beat Vlad. Perhaps Wilder will have a rematch with Sconiers. Vlad has mentioned fight Wilder, but nothing has been signed yet for sure................Wilder refused to fight Thompson or Jennings...................

Wlad cannot push Wilder down and lean on him like he did with Povetkin and since he has tasted Wilders power in sparring, he´s scared now. Hell he was even scared of fighting Povetkin, that´s why he fought like a chicken.

Yeah, Vlad was so scared that he knocked Wilder down. Wilder said that he did learn a lot from Vlad...........Wilder 224-5, Vlad is much stronger than Wilder, more skilled, much better than Sconiers who put Wilder down.......Vlad has mentioned fighting Wilder, so be careful for what you wish...........
