You really are an idiot. Fury has been living like a pig for too long now, whatever mojo he had has goooooooone.
This is old, not recent, doesn't matter when he posted it. Both are in camps and training hard though. Will wait and see.
Nothing about Usyk/DuBois was announced until about 3-4 weeks away. I thought the same thing about that fight. This is more indicative of the fact it's not expected to be a big seller. Also, there are fewer players in terms of networks for boxing at the moment.
Nobody even knows this fight is happening in the general public. I am aboard the pessimistic boat and agree it will not happen.
Fury has the opinion usyk is only a smeary ukrainian cheater and does not want to give this title away to him . He will only fight if his physical and mental state is in a shape that he is sure to win.
I think he does. I think deep down boxing is what matters most to him and being recognised as the best. I believe the humbling Ngannou gave him might force him to take things seriously and be at his best.
I personally think Fury got the fright of his life and is training as hard as he did for Wlad. He's an idiot, and makes stupid decisions all the time, but his IQ is vastly superior to AJ and Wilder. He can actually assess situations and make adjustments. He knows his legacy largely rests on this matchup and does care about his reputation. The fact this might be his last big fight series also means he's more likely to put it all on the line one last time and at the very least give a good account of himself, enough to gain the respect of fans. But only time will tell. The great battle between Fury haters and Fury realists/lovers/neutrals has been waging on this forum for quite some time. Soon we will see who is correct. Those who are wrong will forever live in the shame of their failure.
I was starting to feel that way too, but over the last couple of days we've been getting a steady stream of rumored fights for the undercard. Charr-Chisora, Opetaia returning, Kovalev returning, Cordina defending his title. That has me a bit more optimistic again. That said, there are only 38 days between now and the 17th, so I hope we get more than just rumors in the next couple of weeks. For what it's worth, I do believe it will go ahead as planned next month, and hopefully the scare against Ngannou is making Fury take this as serious as we all know Usyk is. I completely back Usyk to win regardless of which version of Fury shows up, but I'm hoping it's a lot better than last time, because I want people to have as little ammo as possible if they try to discredit the win. Plus, as is often pointed out, it has been nearly 25 years since the last undisputed heavyweight fight. I think the fans who have been waiting that long deserve to see a good fight between two guys who are prepared as possible for what will be the biggest fight of their careers
