He must be gutted!! I mean now Wlad v Chagaev is now official he must realise he may now well be frozen out for at least a year. He was lucky to get his shot and unfortunately injury struck a mean blow and KO'd his chances. Haye may well hope he can get Vitali, but if thats a no no, then he must remain active and fight a credible top 10 opponent. He cant stay inactive once he's over his injury hoping to mouth his way back into title contention. So who should Haye fight next assuming Vitali has to fight Maskaev? Will Wlad say yes to Haye after all this if he gets past Chagaev? Even if so Haye cant afford to remain inactive and must fight someone.
I would not wait if I was Vlad. I'm ready now so why would I have to wait another two to three weeks. I am the champ so I will go after the other belt I have been waiting for. Haye should fight Chris or Peter to keep him in the eyes of all. If he opts to stay inactive, I bet Vlad will just move forward with his career.
I am not sure what the better punishment for Haye is... getting KOed or being left out. Either way it feels good seeing that arrogant ***** outside of the title picture.
.......they are not even sure how long he'll be out............3 weeks, then 7 weeks....... I think Haye knows he's a big draw in this fight, but not so big that they would wait, yet again, after waiting so long already.
Yeah, because what boxing needs right now is more boring uncompetitive Klitschko fights against obscure eastern european heavyweight challengers.
Wlad knows that after 3 weeks camp Haye would ask for another 4 weeks. This fight can be postponed for November and Wlad can fight Chagaev now.
