He could hold his own against Valuev. You are right! I also agree with you that he is still better now that Botha was at his peak. Nevertheless,he is a shot fighter,a loose cannon who could be damaged very badly when matched with one of the rising young guns like Boytsov. Botha is a harmless old man with no punch and who moves as slowly as an 90 year old living zombie in the ring. The fitting opponent for that old geezer Hollyfield, dont you think so! Lets be honest Hollyfield looked like a shadow of his former self against Valuev. He wouldnt have survivied two rounds against a big puncher...............not to speak against any of the top fighters like the Klitschko brothers
Holyfield wins this one easily. Holyfield isn't anywhere near where he used to be, but he still is a decent heavyweight. Say what you want about Valuev, but he has fought good competition and could potentially be undefeated.....that is how close his losses have been. Holyfield did as well as any against him. Holyfield wins this easy.
At this point, either man winning is pretty much irrelevant to the division and irrelevant to their own legacies. All we're getting now is how much either man can get brain damaged before they call it a day. I like Evander. I just want him to retire.
Based on their recent showings,I believe Evander will win this. Botha would find life difficult at club fighter level-while Evander is still a top 40 heavyweight.
Amateurs prove nothing. Espicially at this time in both Bothas and Sanders career. Sanders has not fought for over a year and he was knocked out in round 1. Your right it would be competitive it would be east for Botha!
