What Ruiz did was far worse than what Mayweather, Klitschko or any of these other guys do. These guys are top notch fighters who use holding as a supplement to actual boxing skill. They have a variety of world class skills. Ruiz used it to cover up the fact he had no skill. Because without the rules violations, and Don King's influence, he would have been lucky to be a regional beltholder.
Jack Johnson and fighters of that era were far more clinch-happy I give people plenty of credit for patience if they can sit through all those rounds of a Jack Johnson fight
