does anyone know what that was about and around which fight? here it is at the 4:00 mark [YT]vBqoaW2oEsU[/YT]
Correct, he suffered a spinal injury during training, which was the original reason the fight wasnt going to take place, but Tyson made the decision the day before, the fight was on. Roach said he did very little sparring for that fight, and strangely enough had a sparring session the night before the fight, to make up for lost time.
dumbest man alive without a doubt. Amazing someone with so much physical talent can be so stupid in between his ears.
Tyson isn't dumb, but this is my all-time favorite quote of his. Just that one word: "Spinal." Priceless.
That was in early 2003, the last time Tyson won a fight, damn the 5 years have blown by fastatsch Id say it's safe to assume Tyson's back has healed by now:huh
hes not stupid.... in fact i bet you he knows more then most of the posters here... hes just not a good speaker
No problem, it was one the funniest interviews I ever seen, Jim Gray's face was priceless, after he asked him "What type of back injury did you sustain during training Mike" Tyson told him "Spinal".:rofl
I would bet everything I have in the bank that he knows more boxing than anyone on ESB, jimmy jacobs had one of the biggest library of boxing films, and Tyson spent many years viewing these old films. I think Tyson would make a great commentator, certainly more knowledgable than Lewis or Jones.
