Pac wants DLH. But as he also said on the bottom part of this article(which PacDBest conveniently didn't translate), he also still does not rule out a possible Valero or Soto fight.

Even though Pac wants DLH, its good to see him still considering other possible fights. Goes to show you that Pac is not doing this just for the money.

Oscar is like 5'11 and Pac is 5'6. There's no way Pac has longer arms.

 

We're not really sure how his speed, stamina and power will be 2 weight divisions above and instantly. Pac is just going to boost up all of a sudden for one fight, won't even be a slow approach. It's really hard to predict how his power will be and if it will serious trouble DLH, look at Mosley for instance, at Lightweight his power was insane then he started moving up and his power faded, guys like Winky would take his shots flush and won't even blink. Pac's speed MIGHT still be there but for how long?, that includes his stamina. Far too many questions to be answered and that includes his ability to handle DLH's power, DLH will be the bigger man and can hit really hard.

Exactly my point as well. It has been shown in the past that there are huge problems with moving around this many weight classes. Typically what happens is one of two things:

1) The fighter cannot jump 2-3 weight classes, their skills do not carry that high. The speed, power, stamina, timing, etc does not come through at a higher weight.

or 2) Maybe the fighter doesn't look that terrible jumping the weight classes but problems arise when shaving back down. Timing has been screwed up, reflexes possibly gone, or maybe they just plain old cannot take the weight back off without losing muscle.

In either case scenario I would hate to have us robbed of prime fights from Pac, just have a mega payday with DLH. Is that being a bit conceited? Yes it is , but I don't see how a true fan of Pac wouldn't just want him to clean out the 135lb division and unify the belts instead of jumping 2 more weight classes (on top of the fact that he JUST moved to 135) to fight a past-prime DLH in his last fight. Maybe history will prove me wrong, but I would much rather that he cleaned out 135, and would give him much more credit. And yes, I know that I favor DLH anyways but I just really think that he will taken out of his prime from a war with DLH at 147. I would much rather see him face Guzman, Diaz, Casa, JMM III, etc.

We can't be sure about that. I really hope Pac retains his speed, relentlessness, power, etc. But if we just look at this objectively(which I think you should do from time to time), you'll see that Pac will be hard-pressed in retaining those attributes. Jumping 2 weight division is not exactly a walk in the park.

 

I say a game DLH beats pacman, maybe to the point of him not being the same boxer,,,,now why chase down this fight, when there are better fights to watch at 135,,,,an if dlh is a legend, he is a shot one,,still he got a good chance of hurting this guy to the point of him not being the same boxer,,,,I say if pacman beats dlh, it will be because dlh was shot, an if he loses he still might lose to a shot dlh. I say dlh chin give palvik a harder person to drop. I like dlh chance against palvik more then i like pacman agaisnt dlh....

 

I agree. I'm actually a big fan of Pac, second favorite fighter of mine next to Cotto, but in the words of the movie Colors.
