The difference in him and Hopkins is the simple fact that Hopkins is still taking hard fights now.

So people are finally beginning to see that DLH is fake. He's plastic man. I've been saying this for years. What took you guys so long?

Well thats what im saying, its a two way street. Both guys are just looking for a big payday, both of them have already proved themselves to be great boxers. Oscar is past it and is seeking the easiest way to the largest financial reward. Pac is in his prime and is passing up serious legacy furthering fights for a large sum of money.

I don't agree with the fight but the OP quoted a statement about fighting champions, and Oscar has certainly fought his fair share of them. Im not going to forget a decade of quality fights and huge attraction to the sport of boxing over one fight, especially considering he isn't exactly prime.

Firstly i wasn't comparing De La Hoya to Hopkins (way to go off on a tangent) i was stating that you cannot question the balls of a welterweight who steps in the ring with Bernard Hopkins, especially after witnessing him destroying other top welterweights like Trinidad. Secondly, Hopkins has dealt with age better than almost any other fighter in history, whereas Oscar is well and truly past it so its a moot comparison.

I dont see why people are angry at Hoya for picking Pac..
Pac and almost all of the boxers wants to win that sweepstakes with Oscar.
It benefits both parties.. Blame not only Hoya but also the boxers who wants their biggest paydate in life.

honestly, do you have nothing better to do than pay out fighters..
I don't have a problem that you don't like DLH but if thats the case.. don't watch him.. who cares what you think. All these haters on here..

Say they are into the sport and then pay out fighters..

I bet you'll be watching it come December the 6th..

    Exactly!

DLH fans have absolutely no credibility. These are the same dimwits who got on PBF's ass for taking the Hatton fight instead of Margarito. Now what the **** is DLH doing, fighting someone who is two weight divisions south. Where is the outrage from DLH fans?

Fighting Pac over Margo makes more sense financially, Its not like Hoya needs MARGO at this point in his career.

Do you have ANY way to back this up?

Cotto is a draw but after beating Cotto, I'd say Margarito has the right to say he's got some draw power of his own as well.

The idea that anybody is more marketable than Margarito is stupid and honestly a slight to a guy like MArgo.
