"Section 2.17 of the WBC Rules and Regulations: "a) 70% for the champion and 30% for the challenger in title bouts"

When Bob Arum and Pacquiao say they are willing to accept 30% of the purse, I will hold Mayweather responsible for not making the fight if he does not.

Until then, this is a moot conversation.

Who cares about your *******ed opinion.

    :deal

Floyd doesn't care about belts and will do no business with Arum. If Pac doesn't leave Arum, then it's all his fault.

Arums been snaking him already and he still refuses to leave him.

Sorry, but I'm a fan of both fighters. It's actually kind of funny being called a *******. I think many *******s would laugh at me being called one as well.

If Manny and Arum said they are willing to accept the WBC Mandatory Challenger purse that the WBC designates, the ball is in Floyd's court at that point. If Floyd would not take the fight at that point, Mayweather would absolutely be to blame.

But I've yet to see any indication from Top Rank or Pacquiao that they would accept only 30% of the purse.

On what basis? Honestly what is Pac going to do to beat Floyd? Seriously, what?
    This baffles me...

I've said it for years that PBF beats him but he is not KOing Pac.

If this fight happens it would be the most defensive fight PBF has ever fought. He knows it and he is not going to do anything that will give Pac an opening. He is not going to risk a lost to Pac after so much trash talking between the two. PBF has everything to lose compared to Pac. There is a huge difference between this fight and the JMM. In that fight both guys were looking for a KO.

I hope this fight gets made for next year but statements like this are kinda dumb when you consider every Pacquiao opponent since 03 were coming off beatdowns and losses.

Personally I always thought this fight would go down like the Mayweather-Chavez fight

I personally felt Mayweather was the most defensive I've seen him in a long time against Alvarez, a bigger man.

I honestly think he'll control range and stand his ground more with Pacquiao than you believe. Mayweather will be the taller man, and have a 5" reach advantage in the bout. (If they fought) If you look at the tape from the Mayweather vs Marquez fight, you will notice some physical problems Pacquiao will need to overcome. (Marquez and Manny have the same reach, and Marquez is listed 1/2" taller.)

Now usually, Pacquiao overcomes any size deficiency with his superior speed, which leads to him throwing those combinations we see. However, against Mayweather the speed will be somewhat neutral, both men are extremely quick. So Pacquiao's usual significant advantage becomes a tie in all likelihood.

Technical expertise, adaptability, footwork, fighting on the inside in the clinch, ring generalship, counter punching, etc. etc... the list goes on. These are clear Floyd Mayweather advantages, with an edge in power going to Pacquiao.

Manny could catch him with something big, you never know. But saying a man has a puncher's chance doesn't exactly exude confidence in the man winning the fight in general. Especially when fighting one of the best defensive fighters of all time.

This is just my opinion. I think some people will be in for a shock if the fight happens, and it will, at the last possible moment. (Just like SRL/Hagler) Others will feel vindicated as we've seen this coming all along.

I don't think he can KO Pac. Especially now after Pac got KO'ed, I think Pac already learnt his lesson.

Back to reality, he has to get in the ring first against Pac before knocking him out. Defend his title from his mandatory.
