Knocking down Canelo atleast 3 times in this fight. I dont think canelos defence will look that effective when that accurate thudding jab starts a landing, canelo cant cut down the distance either, hes not a swarmer, and he doesnt have great headmovement when moving forward, i think he will come a cropper when the telegraphic jab is pushing his head back. he will do well to duck the jab and attack the body of krusher's but that will take time, maybe 6+ rounds, hes not a fast starter where as kovalev is a fast starter and throws alot and in bunches, that right is right behind the jab and then he finishes it off with another left. also canelo doesnt hit as hard you lot think, he couldnt stop a shot cotto at mw, it took him along time to finish brave liam smith, hes hardly likely going to grind kovalev down in my eyes, i reckon hes going to look slower and sluggish, hes not a LHW. all he has to do is survive to win but hes going to be put down multiple times, this maybe a fight where has to overcome major adversity to get the W.

9 days to go. I can only hope of Father Christmas giving us an early treat, Kovalev crushing Carrot Top.

Canelo has such a good chin and a solid base but I do think Kovalev can catch Canelo out of position.
I would have Canelo as a fast started myself.Even against Golovkin there were times I felt he was so good he could outbox him at will, problem is for Canelo is he can only do it in patches inbetween saving energy.
He might struggle to land any of his combinations esp if Kovalev is cute about this and doesn't initiate everything in there.

I think if stamina plays a part Kov may gas out, the pace will be important

Hopefully we get to see Kovalev against Beterbiev, I know Kovalev has some legal issues to sort out, hopefully this fight materialise next year August?.. Canelo still has GGG.. Kovalev should stop Alvarez, kudos to Canelo for taking this risk, utmost respect daring to be great. The first round will set the tempo what will transpire, I'm abit sad, that I am not the the first on the forum to say it going to be really easy for kovalev. Watch the body attacks and jabs of kovalev.

It’s an excellent fight with a lot of intangibles, prime Kovalev bodies Canelo and whilst he’s no where near his best he’s still capable.

If Canelo does lose early I can envision a mass suicide for certain posters on here.

It is really a good fight. Lots of unknowns and variables to consider. If Canelo loses, HOPEFULLY his fans will f*ck off. But as for Canelo, depending on how he loses (If), he should be able to bounce back.

I think Kovalev takes this one, provided he has any will left in him

Dosent matter to me who wins . I'm seeing two skillful elite fighters go at. I'll appreciate the IQ of both. Beautiful boxing art

I really don't think kovalev brings enough to the table. Canelos defense is very good and kovalev is a very basic long range 1-2 fighter. He's good at what he does but canelo is too smart to consistently get hit by those shots

There is a rather strong chance that could happen. That's what happens when you take serious risks in the sport. That is something you will never see from Gennady "The Tomato Can Devourer" Golovkin.

No same here I know some of said with his PED use and fighting smaller men himself that they couldn't care less about him.I can see why some think that but two wrongs don't make a right and I don't wish any harm on the lad as you can't just single him out for taking PEDs and gaining advantages as it would seem it's pretty rife.

Serge played a vid about Canelos chin, most of the footage was from the two Golovkin fights as he had more success than anyone.Golovkins jab is one of the best and was also rocking his head back but it was his ability to take vicious uppercuts and hooks from Golovkin and come straight back that got my attention as nobody prior to this could do that.I've read that it remains to be seen how Canelo comes out of those two fights as Golovkin has been effected imo.
Oddly enough it's Canelos chin and ability to take shots without going down that worries me here?I've no desire to see another Kell Brook who's career was effected from five rounds with Golovkin.
Canelo team need to be on the same page as Canelo won't quit and it's doubtful if he'd take a knee?
There's also the danger of Canelos history and pattern of silly scorecards.I hope that wouldn't sway them to keep him in there to the end of he's on the end of a one sided beating as that would be dangerous.

Keep on topic weirdo, you’ve just come back from a ban you thought you’d have learned.

First post on a thread topic involving Kovalev and Canelo and you bring up GGG......pathetic don’t you think?
