I can see past prime Krusher Kovalev

I can’t see this one going 12.

Kovalev knows he needs a KO, so he will be aggressive.

This will make Clenelo fight back and open things up for his attack. He won’t stop Kovalev with one shot, but with consistent barrages over 12 rounds, I think he can break him down late.

I hope Kovalev stops him. I’m tired of Clenelos hype train and it needs to be derailed.

 

How could very basic fighter win a fight against a p4p fighter like Ward and Hopkins. He isnt basic. His main weakness is lack of durability and sometimes mental problems like in second Ward fight, instead of whining and complaining to the ref, just hit Ward in the balls too.

 

Both of you deserve to be banned. You both feed into each other's ignorance. I can't understand being that emotionally tied to a fighter.

 

If you never watched either of them fight and just based it on boxing principles and knowledge, you would say:

"Kovalev is supposed to knock out Canelo."

I got a gut feeling that Kov comes out and dominates, the beautiful jab landing more often than not and just enjoying himself, then Ward throws his hat in at the end wantings the rubber match and what he thinks is easy money after Kov's high profile win. Usyk hears about this and responds with " What happened to you coming to see me at 200, the big surprise announcement ??? " Ward just pretends he hasn't heard anything acting half a sleep but really his eyes are half open as usual hearing everything

Be interesting to see if Kov has the hand speed to land it. He looked slow Vs Yarde..

 

He didn't beat ward first off. But he was able to dominate his era because he was an excellent fighter. Basic style tho

Yes and the sooner folk stop believing in the false narrative about this guy the better.Im not one of those who thinks he lost to Lara or Trout but I do believe he’s everything that’s bad about boxing.
Worse still is he gets credit for going twelve rounds and it’s just tough luck for those who can’t stop him?
As one channel on YouTube said “Kovalev could dominate him all twelve rounds and Canelo would get the decision for using his head to hurt Kovalevs fists”
I hope I’m wrong but most folk never expect Canelo to lose which is a shame as he’s great to watch.
Hope Kovalev knows the usual scoring criteria will go out of the window for this fight eg taking flush jabs in the face don’t count,nor does volume of punches count.30 second flurry’s for Canelo do count and take precedence over everything else.
