I can see PBF taking Hearn's flickering jabs away. Would be a close decision fight.

Oscar's jab is not Hearns jab. Benitez could not take away Hearns jab. No one did. You take it and you hope to get inside and land. The guys who beat Hearns all took punishment to beat him. If you are not willing to get hurt and hit and swelled up you will not beat Hearns. Floyd would not beat Hearns.

Hearns KO or UD. Wilfred Benitez was one of the all-time great defensive fighters AND had good power but couldn't do anything with Hearns. Stylistic Nightmare for Floyd.

Mayweather has MUCH better footwork than Hearns, that's a fact. We all know Hearns also does NOT possess a great chin, knocked out by hagler/leonard/barkley etc etc. If any of you had watched Hearns fight, you would see that his footwork wasn't all that amazing. PBF's footwork is state of the art.

I said this and I will say it again, it isn't as EASY as everyone thinks it is. Floyd has the innate ability to adapt to styles, very apparent from his fight vs Gatti, Manfredy, Corrales, Hatton, Costillo.

Mayweather has 1 thing no other boxer has right now, great footwork. Footwork I can even say is better than Leonard/Hearn's. If you don't agree with this, I really question whether you watch boxing or not.

I've watched boxing for a long time, and it's very clear that May's footwork is just art, it's beautiful.

Ive always thought that Hearns poses the worst stylistic matchup for Floyd possible both in style and physical dimensions + the skill to pull it off.
    Id expect a brutal destruction.

Honestly i think Hearns would be worse for Floyd than SRR.

Mayweather is not the only boxer right now with great footwork.

    Hearns with the UD.

LOL at those who say Hearns murders Floyd.

I think people are overreacting to the idiotic first post.

Floyd is no dummy. He is not going to get beat the **** down senselessly by anyone. He actually compares nicely to the all-time greats. I actually think he has a slight chance against SRL. He would be in the fight of his life, but I still give him about a 30% chance against SRL.

The problem with Hearns, though, is that the style matchup is horrific for PBF. He would be fighting a guy who is long enough and with a strong enough jab to force Floyd into the role of aggressor. And as someone already entioned, that takes away his greatest asset, his counterpunching. And it also leaves him a little more open to arguably the best P4P weapon in the history of the sport - The Hearns Straight Right Nuclear Bomb.

This is no slight against Mayweather, but I just don't see a way for him to turn the corner from competitive to actually "in control" without taking risks that he would inevitably pay the ultimate price for.

    Hearns KO8

Please....did you see Mosley use the jab to the body followed by the right hand and hurt Mayweather? That was one of Hearn's specialties. I don't think Floyd survives Hearn's doing that to him once, let alone twice. Forget Floyd adapting, he won't survive that combination.

Floyd goes down similar to how Duran did.

Yes. Floyd gets stopped. Tommy would son Floyd.
Plus Oscars diminishing jab in their fight was
ALSO due to fatigue. Look what a 38 year old
Mosley did. Now imagine what a 23
    old Hearns would do.

Hearns is one of the only boxers I would ever pick to KO Mayweather

If you seriously think this would be close then you need to go watch a LOT more of Hearns.... fmj would not get near him, he`d be busted up & outboxed from distance for as long as the fight lasted, a wide decision loss for floyd is like a victory for him here, he has NO chance.

    Hearns TKO 9 fmj
