Hits harder than Taylor's mom ... but harder than Taylor? LOL ... no way.

Current Joe cracks about as hard as current Oscar or Winky ... maybe

i agree with the calzaghe UD pavlik but you are underrating pavlik's performances. You mentioned hopkins but taylor beat hopkins twice and pavlik beat taylor. If any, hopkins was taylor's leftover

Well you're just stupid to understand that people have their opinions too. :D

You better believe that some people is picking Pavlik.

Pavlik is as tough as they come, but styles make fights.

Calzaghe is faster, a better boxer, better combinations and has an excellent boxing brain and chin.

Im not saying Pavlik hasnt any of the above, but he is a little predictable and one paced.

If the fight takes place i could see Calzaghe having a field day, teeing off, befundling Pavlik and either forcing a late stoppage or winning comfortably on points.

I like Pavlik, but Calzaghe has been fighting at 168 for many years and he is doing well at 175. Pavlik is not ready for Calzahge.

Only problem is Calzaghe is neither Kong nor Godzilla - a slow big monster ready to get destroyed by the heavy artillery... he's more like the Phantom of the Opera... you cannot destroy a phantom with a courageous and straight-forward all-out assault because you end up walking into his traps... :yep

    Lets be fair here.

Miranda was considered a better contender than he was when they fought, and Zertuche etc were good contenders.

However, Calzaghe would give him a boxing lesson, that much is obvious.

I'm actually amazed that people pick Calzaghe. Most of those who do also picked Miranda and Taylor. I've broken this fight down in many, many other posts, and Pavlik has ALL the advantages except hand speed. Styles make fights, and Joe is a perfect Pavlik victim. He gets Pavlikated inside 10 rounds.

What about his KO over Miranda? Doesn't that one count?

Before the Hopkins fight I would've picked Joe by clear decison. Now I'm not that sure anymore.
