I Can't Believe People are Giving Kovalev a Serious Chance Against Hopkins

Kovalev IS one dimensional. Beating up on a string of TOMATO CANs does not make you into Pernel Whitaker or Sandy Saddler, Genius. Kovalev is ordinary in every way except for his overrated punching power...

 

Kovalev isnt one dimensional though his greatest trait by fair is his power and it can over shadow his skill set, with that said there's truly nothing extraordinary about his abilities....compared to most at his level he's somewhat predictable and vs Bhop he's limited. Should be a really good fight.

If Kovalev didn't have power he would be average at best. He's nothing special without his power. In fact if Hopkins was 40 he would shut Kovalev out and make easy work of him.:deal

 

I picked Dawson to beat Hopkins due to the fact that Hopkins struggles with fast athletic boxers. See Calzaghe, RJJ, Taylor Pascal and Dawson for reference. On the other hand, what he doesn't struggle with are guys like Kovalev who he can pick apart and school.:deal

I actually think Kovalev beats Hopkins, but Stevenson beats both of them...Kovalev is more vulnerable to Southpaws than he is Orthodox fighters...He would get cracked by Stevensons lead left.....
