People were not happy because they expected Guerrero to be a better challenge they didn't know that the ghost fought nobody much then went the distance and was dropped by one of two shot fighters and life and death with a post injured long lay off Berto before this. That's the real problem here is they felt conned but when you look at Guerrero deeper you would have seen he is nothing special and probably doesn't beat 10 other contender/boxers in and around his weight let alone Floyd.

Lots of people who say mayweather and rigo are boring have never been in the ring themselves for even a ****ing sparring session before. It's hilarious when they criticize pro fighters at the top of the sport when they can't go one round themselves in sparring without collapsing.

    Agreed.:deal
It was a fabulous performance. The type that makes me glad I know enough about the sport to appreciate the nuances of Floyd's defensive brilliance.

There will always be people knocking him. That's the price you pay for residing at the peak of the summit.

Exactly, Mayweather decided to trade on the ropes you see in the last round when he decided to box he didnt need to trade
He coulda made Cotto look like Guerrero if he wanted to

It wasn't really a boring fight, but it did lack something that Mayweather's last few fights had -- drama. The Cotto fight was competitive all the way through, Ortiz caught Mayweather with a couple of shots and then we had the headbutt and KO mess, and Mosley had that memorable round 2 against Mayweather. You have to go back to Marquez/Mayweather in 2009 to find such a one-sided Floyd match.

I was actually reminded of Mayweather vs Baldomir, in the way that Mayweather was using constant movement and throwing occasional right hand leads before slipping off again. It was a good, effective performance, but not particularly exciting. If Guerrero had at least been able to land some more good shots here and there it would have been more interesting, but Mayweather was on a different level -- he's now looking more like 'PBF' than 'Money', which bodes well for his chances of staying undefeated before he retires.

The notion that Mayweather chose to trade with Cotto and allowed it to be competitive, is nonsense. Absolute nonsense. Last night just proved the ridiculously wide gulf in class between a Cotto and a Guerrero. The latter shouldn't have even been in the ring with him; as evident by how one-sided it was.

Very good fight. He's used more movement, defense and he fought like the Floyd of old. His flat footed, be the aggressor style his last few fights was limiting his abilities. He's even perfecting his right sweeps (uppercuts, hooks) to another level at the age of 36 to further brake fighters rhythm. Thats some ridiculous ****. People need to stop hating.

Agreed but I still didn't care for the Guerrero fight much. Glad to see Floyd back in there and appreciate what he did but the fight wasn't for me. And I find Cloud & Donaire much better than Guerrero. They also had more to offer there just was no intrigue in Guerrero-Floyd. It was a tuneup and Floyd did face Cotto last so I understand him facing Robert. Maybe it will grow on me with time as the Baldo fight did but again I appreciate the usual skills of Floyd.

The problem with floyd and casual fans is that he provides no drama and not many KOs. This is what the casual fan wants from boxing. When people hear Floyd is supposed to be the best they expect brutal warrior in there.

Yeah Cotto had a jab to backup Floyd as well as decent inside skills against him, Guerrero didn't. Don't know why its so hard to give Cotto his respect instead of making Floyd to be some kinda demigod.

im glad i didn't pay to see that garbage. i already knew the outcome like most people. guerrero was a heavy underdog going in. why fight if you already know the result. theres no drama in that. i wont watch floyd fight until he fights someone legitimate like canelo or martinez. i'll pass on floyd wanting to fight khan. how stupid does he think we are. oh wait, there are alot out there.
