and idk if its a joke or if its honest. and if its an honest assertion it really scares me.. that Calzaghe would even beat Jones in there primes as decisively as he did on Saturday night. that really worries me that some people could think that lol.

The fight kinda proved that Roy would win in his prime

Prime Roy Jones being unbeatable is a myth. Look who he was fighting for christ sakes!

We don't know what would have happened.

Its crazy,, people actually think that Roy jones Jr. was like the one you saw last saturnay,,,,, in his prime!!!

Last saturday night he can't throw combos , just one shot at a time, he just stayed with his arms up and can't counter punch , and can't get out of the ropes, just to name a few . That 3 things alone showed you that hes shot as a fighter, hes not even 50% of what he used to be.

the fight proved that Jones should retire but hes suffering from the Holyfield syndrome. Not to mention the moneys not too bad but tbh i think its more than that for Jones. he just loves training and loves being out there performing

No sane person believes that Prime for Prime Calzaghe beats Jones like that it just wouldn't happen.

Prime for prime it would have been an amazing fight and by far the most difficult fights of each others careers.

He said he thinks Joe would beat Roy at any stage of their career, while bold, not exactly he would do what he did on saturday to him.

Your right nobody is unbeatable. but in his prime he is about as close to perfect as you can get in an unperfect sport like boxing. he trained so damn hard so as to leave no wonder as to who might win the fight. he went into his fights with the confidance that he trained as hard as possible. and it showed in his god given athleticism and his reflexes and his natural skills in the ring that hes been doing since he was a kid.

and look who he was fighting? dont start with that ****in bull**** now.

That's true also,,,, but come on ,,to say that the outcome will be the same when Jones was at his prime just because of the results of this one is just ridiculous;)

I never said it would be the same ie: a one sided beating.

I said we do not know what would have happened.

Jones was perhaps more genetically blessed than any other fighter I've ever seen in his prime.

No one says Camacho would have KO'd Leonard in his prime so I don't see how Joe beating an old Roy proves much of anything.

phew it was genetics.. it was power.. it was speed. it was reflexes.. it was being able to throw every punch in the book with hurtful intent. roy sure was something amazing
