I can't believe there are people who actually think Madonna won the fight

You would think grown adults would be going by their real names not stupid **** like "Money" or " About Billions" or "Mizzz Jackson".

 

Round 2 could have went either way. I thought Maidana clearly won rounds 3 and 4. 6 could have went either way. As for round 8? I thought that coudl have went either way as well.

 

That's a given, especially since the fight looked close. Then you got the Mayweather haters and they're always waiting for any opportunity to put him in a bad light. They are relentless as roaches and just as nasty. It's not about boxing with them but more about How can I throw some dirt on Mayweather in any shape, form, or fashion. It's 95% bull**** and talk. Now, here's some real ****. Mayweather won the fight by majority decision and his record is now 46/0. That's a fact and facts always kick bull**** to the curb.

 

Sure, if your looking to give all the close rounds to a certain fighter. People are so afraid to score a round 10-10.

Both fighters got outlanded in 6 out of 12 rounds. That means they outlanded their opponent in 6 out of 12 rounds as well. Punch stats aren't everything, but people like to bring up how often Maidana was missing so much... how about how many he landed and when he landed?

 

I think you need to be hitting a guy for it to be effective aggression. If you're not connecting then the favor goes to defense.

 

It was an overrated fight

 

I had it 7-5 Maidana at the casino

rewtched last night 6-5 and 1 rd even for Maidana..... a draw at the very least. Bullshiit scoring, and *****s on Mays jock cant objectively score a bout.

 

1,4,5,6 and possibly 8 for Maidana.

 

Mayweather got hit just as much, or almost as much as Maidana (221 230 occording to the punch stats)... they both got hit.

I'm talking about in between the actual hits (clean landed punches) and what's going on at that time.

Let's say you have one fighter who is throwing a lot of punches. He's forcing his opponent to the ropes. He's landing shots on his opponents arms, wrists, shoulders, gloves, back, and hips. Some of the punches are hitting the top of, side of, or even the back of the head. Some of the shots are blocked, others are partially blocked. That is the definition of effective aggression.

A shot that lands clean is just called a landed punch.

Defense? Making a guy miss completely is one thing, cover up and partially blocking shots is another.

but maidana lost lets face it if u wanna beat floyd may it cant be a close decision.

If that's what you call getting your azz whipped then Floyd really is the best ever, he at spotted Chino 3 rounds and still won

**** me I didn't think I was that drunk when I watched it, Madonna looked like a little Argentinian bloke to me, talk about beer goggles...

 

Judging can be hard. This fight is prime example of where judges can be all over the place.

First there is the aggresor vs defensive matchup whereby a judge may be inclined to favour the fighter taking the fight to the opponent.

Then there is a the weight of punch, how would you all score a round where one boxer connected 10 girly punches and the other 3 power shots? If you measure a fight on who is husrting the opponent more, the guy with the 3 power punches should win the round, why? cause those power punches are debiliating the opponent more than the girly punches..

In this fight you had the aggresor who was taking the risks and making the fight exciting (Maidana) and the defensive fighter, Floyd. Two people with opposite biases can see different things

then you have the weight of the punch. Did anyone see how spotless and smooth Maidana's face looked after the fight? It seems like he was in the ring with a girl, no? Floyd may have connected a few more, but without any weight whatsoever. Maidana, on the other hand, connected few clean punches but deloivered a lot of heavy body blows (arms, body, etc..).

I can look at this fight with different lenses and score it 17-11 for Floyd or 15-13 for Maidana....

 

Not true, He was missing completely on the majority of those shots and that's why his connect percentage was so low. Arm and leg shots are not scoring blows and back of the head shots are illegal. Here's the misleading part, those shots that were landing on Mayweather's arms and the back of his head were added to his connect numbers. All Mayweather's connects were clean and precise. I will reiterate what I said earlier, being all over a person doesn't mean that you are effective. He was smothering his own ability to be effective. He was aggressive but for the most part it wasn't effective.

Maidana certainly made it a great watch but the man at one point was literally doing the wind mill in the ring
