I can't believe there are people who actually think Madonna won the fight

Close fight, but Floyds punches were much better, cleaner and more effective. and FYI, skill does count. Old school --- the Boss at the end of the fight weighs heavy. He does have to be winning rounds. Especially close rounds -- they go to the guy who is coming on.

Jacory, anything you think about Floyd is void, ya mean? You are his biggest slurper on this forum.

it's not the olympics a guy making the fight and swinging and only hitting arms shoulders "whatever" for 3 minutes beats 1 clean jab landing and doing f all else the entire round but be on the defensive

whats wrong with that ? that's like saying khan won those rounds against maidana when he was running away and countering now and then with a cleaner looking shot but you all gave those rounds to maidana in that fight because he was the aggresor making khan get his track shoes on and cutting him off at the ropes now and then.

Just because mayweather can basically run away and be on the defensive an entire round without khans weird looking rubbery leg movement it's the sweet science
when anyone else does the same thing against maidana you give the round to maidana

at best mayweather won 7 rounds to 5 at worst a draw

Anyone who doesnt score the fight exactly as 'you' did, doesnt know how to score fights

If youve ever said that, you need to come back down to earth.

I won't quote your other post, but I will add a couple of things.

Maidana outlanded Mayweather in power punches 185 to 178. When is came to clean punching, Maidana had the visual effect of throwing hard, making Mayweather's head rock back, and making him cower on the ropes. When Mayweather landed effective body punches, particularly in the late rounds he made Maidana cower over his body and slow down his aggression.

Many of the punches that Maidana landed were on Mayweather's arms, shoulders, and what not would probably not count as scoring blows, but do lend to the criteria of effective aggression as those blows made Mayweather back up and cover up more. It would also take away from Mayweather winning defense points as they still took a toll on Mayweather and took him out of his game plan.

I think the criteria that people seem to not give aggressive fighters enough credit for is ring generalship. It doesn't just mean dancing around the ring, it means who is in control of the fight.

Maidana kept Mayweather's back against the rope which I would think shows that Maidana showed the better ring generalship by keeping the fight where he wanted. When Mayweather was doing his best work he was in the center of the ring and keeping Maidana at a distance.

    I had it 7-5 Maidana.

I had the fight 7-5 for Maidana. It wasn't a robbery that he lost, but he definitely had a case for winning.

After the 10th round, I think it was, Showtime showed how many punches landed per round. Maidana had outlanded Floyd in 6 rounds. My scorecard after Round 10 was 6-4 rounds for Maidana. I then gave Maidana the 11th and that was the 7-5 count I had.

Many in the media seemed to have it 7-5 for Floyd. I could see that. It was a close fight, and it could have gone either way. A number of people that I talked to who watched the fight also felt Maidana won.

No Robbery . It was a close fight . But that don't mean I want to see a rematch .

And From the way its looking , Floyd wont be giving Chino a rematch and will move on .

Like it or not , Mr. "Health Comes First" won it 7-5.
Maidana gassed and Floyd took later rounds easily.

madonna won the event i guess...i am sick of people sayin that was a close fight and that Floyd is done, and is no longer considered atg because of this fight. just garbage.

Wat exactly did TBE do besides his usual? Yes maddonna made him fight a lil off character but it was not like a folding chair (leon spinks) type fight
