Very difficult pick to make but I will have to go with Mosley. I think he can take Cotto's power but I doubt the other way around. Cotto has abeen staggered badly by Torres.

I like Cotto in this matchup.

Cotto seems more comfortable at 147 and I think making 140 caused some of his problems in the past. Cotto got stunned by Judah, but big deal. Lots of guys get stunned by the speed and power of Judah. I think Cotto's punch resistance is good enough.

Mosley fights extremely well for a 36 year old, but he's still a 36 year old. I don't think he has as much left as a lot of other people think. He's still good, tough, quick, etc...but I think Cotto's pressure and workrate, along with his solid skill set, will be the difference. At Mosley's age, he fights at a more measured pace. Mosley will try to control the pace and clinch Cotto to get rest, but Cotto's a strong guy and keeps coming. Cotto also has a very good workrate, and his bodyshots should affect anyone, especially a 36 year old. Mosley will have his moments, but I think Cotto will gradually do the damage and take over, winning a UD, although a late stoppage is not that hard to see either.

    Cotto UD 12 Mosley

Miguel Cotto will win this fight

Mosley is still an elite fighter and still has speed, power, and explosiveness. Cotto will be smart the way he attacks early on - he will keep his hands high and move his head. I see him getting stunned like he usually does, but fighting through 1 or 2 rough patches. As the fight goes on, Cotto will be able to deal with the speed and skills of Shane as he will relentlessly come forward, throwing vicious combinations, keeping up a high workrate, and ripping to the body. Mosley's workrate will decrease as the younger Cotto continues to pressure and a tired Mosley will lose the championship rounds - perhaps get stopped for the first time in his career.

That's just my quick prediction - I will change up some things as the week goes on and I will rewatch Cotto vs. Quintana and Judah as well as Mosley vs. Collazo.

The thing I look to is Cotto's ability to deal with speed.

This post pretty much sums up my reason for picking Cotto as well. Also, Pimp, keep in mind that Mosley still has the occasional tendency to throw wide with his hooks, and, though he still has the edge in terms of handspeed, Cotto's ability to time, and his compact punches should allow him to get his own (harder) shots in, especially to the body.

A Mosley win isn't completely out of the question, but, I just see don't see Cotto being rattled by his opponent's speed, and combination punching.

So, Cotto to win by late stoppage for me.

It's very hard to say where is the smart money and who's the favourite, but I would advise you to watch their last fights ( Shane Mosley vs Louie Collazo and Miguel Cotto vs Zab Judah) and ask yourself if what one did could be done against the other... It's stupid from me to make up your mind toward someone in particular cause I don't know exactly how Vcash works here and I could be damaging myself, but if you want to make real money, then you need to see Cotto vs Torres, Cotto vs Urkal, Cotto vs Malignaggi, Mosley vs Forrest I, Mosley vs Wright I, and Mosley vs Vargas I&II too...
