Yes he was invincible up until the day he got his ass handed to him by the Journeyman douglas. The boogie man must of stolen his prime the night before  :nut

I'm beginning to think you are Roy Jones. This became clear after your "dead beat dads" thread in the lounge  And truly, only Roy would think he could actually beat a prime Tyson.

Clay, would be the only guy I could see being able to get away from Tyson at that stage. He was just to fast, strong, vicious, and hit to hard for anyone,IMO Picture what he would have done to Wlad or LL,or Evander the night he destroyed spinks(who was a very good boxer)Forget Douglas,That wasn't the focused Tyson Im talking about,Im talking about Pre-King and Pre-Tysons entourage.

Lennox Lewis beats any version of Tyson. Prime Holy beats any version of Tyson. Ali beats any version of Tyson. Prime Foreman beats any version of Tyson.

A lot of guys would have beaten the prime Tyson. Ali for one, would have shattered Tysons brittle psyche before the first bell even rang. George Foreman was at his destructive best against shorter fighters who leaned in the way Tyson did.
One guy who Tyson would have decapitaed was Roy Jones, who was mentioned by a poster in this thread. We found out that Roy couldn't take much of a punch, and Roy wouldn't have much of a speed advantage over Tyson, if any. After all, John Ruiz is no Mike Tyson. Thats why Roy fought him.

Vitali Klitschko might beat him aswell. He had a great chin, and with his massive advantage in height he should be able to able to keep Tyson at bay until he runs out of steam.

I think your wrong. Maybe only Ali but the rest IMO wouldn't be able to handle Tyson's relentless attacks (at that time in his career) Lets not forget we're talking 86-88, not 90's.

Tyson should have been in his prime but instead Douglas beat an out of shape, non focused shell. The guy simply was not focused. I'm not trying to make excuses for the man but you cant honestly say the guy was focused for that fight. - That said he deserved that beat down...

#1) Tyson would be a handful for anyone up to the time & including the Spinks fight. The only one who may KO him early is a prime Foreman, like he did to Frazier. It would tougher though, Tyson was like super Frazier.
#2) The Tyson that lost to Douglas was allready off the rails for that fight. He had dumped pretty much everyone who helped him with his success. Anyone who doubts this, just look at the stupid blown up water baloon Tyson's corner used to treat his facial swelling during the Douglas fight. WTF was that all about!!

#3) Tyson detractors always point to the Douglas fight as the textbook to beat Tyson, he can't beat a large man with speed and skills. As stated before, Tyson was allready off the rails when he fought Douglas. Does anyone seriously doubt that the Tyson who beat Berbick & Pinklin Thomas was the same fighter?

    Prime Tyson VS:

    Foreman KO Tyson early-mid rounds

Ali TKO Tyson late rounds, good point made earlier about Ali pre-fight head games

    Tyson KO Lewis mid rounds

    Tyson KO Holyfield early
