Hilarious thing is that most these people can't come up with any reason why Canelo will KO him.

    Not at all.

But I'd welcome being proved wrong. That's why I've started this thread. Someone give me a valid reason.

    Doubt it, though.

What if Canelo lands a clean punch on Trout and he goes down for 10 seconds?

    Ok i'll play along.

Heavy hands, smart pressure vs fragile glass mandible.

OK, I'm kidding about the mandible, but in the few Trout fights that I've seen pre-Cotto I noticed that he was very cautious, bordering overly-cautious, especially against Delvin which was a step up for him at the time. Truth is, we know very little about his punch resistance against top quality opposition.

He hasn't done enough nor proven himself to warrant the praise he seems to get here IMO.

Canelo is going to make it look easy.

Trout took many punches such as this from Cotto like a boss, and came out on top.

Whilst, Canelo was getting wobbled by Cotto's brother.

    You do the maths.

Really? Again you can kick back and say who has Canelo beat but at the same time you should be asking the same about Trout, Beating a shot Cotto doesnt mean ****.

his fight prior to that when he was in there with someone who knew how to counter someone who had decent pop you saw a different Trout, you saw a Trout that respected the countering skills and the power of a legit Jr Middle weight.

Canelos best weapon in this fight is his body attack, he will focus on that body and break Trout down, again I like Trout he is a good fighter fun to watch... But if he cant stop that Body assault he is getting stopped in this fight and thats how he will be stopped Canelo will beat the **** out of that drum and catch Trout upstairs and floor him.

This is Canelo's first big fight. Whereas, this is Trout's second.

Trout's stepped into the lion's den going to Canada and Mexico to fight.

Canelo's got more to lose than Trout.

I think Canelo will be the one too overly cautious.

Im gonna be honest i think Trout will win a decision but he seems to fight in second gear, when he dodges punches he doesnt have a duck like Dirrell or Dawson who look like they fear for their life when they are avoiding punches, Trout is too casual when moving his head sometimes, i can see him getting caught after throwing punches then moving his head back slowly and Canelo counters

Canelo sounds like a beast. Guess that should be the title he gets for whooping the legendary Joselito Lopez

It not out of the question at all thaf canelo can KO trout. The kid, while largely untested against the top, still puts his punches together better then most in boxing. And he packs a whollop with those punches. And while I really like trout, his win over Cotto isn't enough to sell to me, trout as a world beater. I'd say he has the potential to get there, but that's why they fight the fights. Still, I am picking Trout by clear UD. But getting caught certainly isn't out of the question.

It's easy to put your punches together against sub par opponents.

im guessing that canelo by tko/ko/dq will be offered at +600 so factoring in the juice saul has about a 10-12 percent chance of koing trout.

i dont expect this line to change so ts is correct.

the chances of canelo winning by stoppage is pretty small.

Yesterday, I saw the Trout vs Cotto again. Cotto landed that left hook FLUSH, several times throughout the fight. Trout likes to leave his right hand low and if he doesn't make the adjustments, Canelo is also going to land at will. Difference is that Canelo hits harder and many people consider that to be his best punch. I'm not saying that's how he will KO him, but that's one possibility. Canelo is bigger and stronger than Cotto. Canelo dominant hand is his right while Cotto's isn't. I can see Trout getting hit flush with left's, and then worrying so much about it, that Canelo will start landing his straight right as well. Like I said, I'm not saying Canelo will KO him, but these are things that can happen, based on what I saw on the Cotto fight. It's not an impossibility.
