Put him in the ring with the same opponents Canelo has been feasting on

Cotto is regarded as one of the best body punches in the sport.

So people saying Canelo punches better? Ok think I've heard it all.

well, many of the canelo nuthuggers are ******ed.

theyll say stupid things that canelo is going to ko trout(five rounds is moronic) and then when you offer them a lifetime esb ban bet that it wont happen they quickly shut up.

Aside from Cotto, who's about more spent then a dime, Trout's comp hasn't really been any better.

Canelo's also one of the better body attackers in the sport. So?

Pacquaio got knocked down a few times in his early pro career up to JMM 4.

Ward got dropped early on as well. Since then he's got wins over the likes of Miranda, Froch, Kessler and Abraham - all well regarded as big punches.

So using the amateurs as an argumentative point is slightly ridiculous. Well you can use. But it won't get you very far in this debate. Which I am handily winning by the way.

This is why I've started this thread.

And the best argument presented thus far is that Trout got dropped in the amateurs :happy

I am talking about his chin. He was dropped. Period. You need so many words to defend your opinion, hehe

I'm a huge Cotto fan. Have been since way back. Cotto WAS one of the best body punchers in the sport. Five years and at least one weight division below.

He didn't go downstairs often enough against Trout. Nor, at this stage am I confident that his left hook to the body carries any more thunder than Canelo's.

I clearly stated this was a wild card. Not that Canelo is a better body puncher than a prime Cotto.
