Wait a minute. So people dismiss that Canelo got rocked by Cotto(e)'s midget brother 3 1/2 years ago, but Trout getting knocked down in the amateurs is valid?

You can't have it both ways haters.

Will there be a knockdown in this fight TS?
(I'm thinking bodywork will play a major role in this fight)

Be objective, anything can happen in the ring, cause Trout aint Marvin Hagler and Canelo aint feather fisted Maliggnagi. Maybe Trout can hurt Canelo too...

I'm in the camp that believe canelo could tko trout in 10, but only as a possibility depending how trout fights in the later rounds.

what I think will happen though, is canelo will punish trout to the body and head and in the championship rounds trout will be fighting very negative as seen in the drod fight when he wasn't facing a passed prime blown up cotto. Canelos power combos and stalking style of his will win over him a wide ud win.

Canelo at this stage is one of the best body punchers in the game. Better then this version of cotto who has not been going to the body at 154.

    That's one point.

another is canelo heavy hands, like his right hand that many cannot take it once they feel it its over, the left hook as well is another point it's a monster shot that made baldomir iron chin go to sleep. The right hand of his has given him so many kos or knockdown or stunning opponents I can't wait to see trout respond to the first big straight right that lands its a southpawss worse nightmare. And one of canelos main weapons... The left hook to the body of tall trout with big target downstairs canelo will be working there all night.

imo canelo UD because trout will be gunshY and in survival mode once he feels that power.

possibility of canelo tko in 10

If Trout comes forward he will get stopped he needs to be on his bike, Canelo hits much harder than him but i think Trout will bully Canelo in clinches

He won't ever hurt Canelo, but he can keep him at bay with his stick-and-move style.

if trout can bully canelo in the clinches as you say then sauls chances of winning are very slim.

because canelos not going to win on skillset, endurance and most of all experience. except for rhodes, his title run is absolute garbage as he shouldve already beaten a molina or rosado caliber-type fighter. you can make a case that saul has been "sparring" in his title defenses against gomez, cintron, shane and josesito while trout has been fighting against lopez, alvarez and cotto.

what you are suggesting is a replay of mosley/winky if trout is the stronger man.

The difference here is Cotto was damaged Canelo is not, Cotto is a small Jr Middle Canelo is a full fledged Jr Middle, Cotto is older Canelo has youth, Cottos work rate dropped off Canelo still has his.

Canelo will set up them left hooks with Combination punching I fully expect to see a great fight but I am confident Canelo will take over the fight and stop Trout late.....

I concur. Canelo also continues to improve every time he fights.

I had Trout going into this but looking at Trouts last two bouts, I have had to rethink all of this, Miguel landed that left hook often, Trout wasnt staggered but he was buzzed by a few of them here and there.

This is a faded Cotto, Delvin Rodriguez slowed down Trout simply by making him pay when he made mistakes Trout had to re adjust and box.

Now the difference here is going to come down to Size, Canelo being Shorter as Cotto was is going to be an advantage for him he will make Trout miss and make Trout Pay....

if Trout starts to go to them ropes just with subtle movement he is in big trouble in this fight, you do not want to put yourself on the ropes with a guy who can string together 6 and 7 punch combinations with that kind of speed and Pop.

Trout can box but he tends to get involved in slugging sessions as well, he is also wide often when he throws, which will allow Canelo to keep his shots short allowing him to score first, and the slugging well if he slugs with Canelo he gets knocked out.....

I got Canelo 9 or 10 round TKO

Sometimes canelo's power looks overrated, and sometimes I see the raw punching power people are talking about.

But then again that is against small guys like lopez. Trout is big.
