Crazy and again thurman like ward landed the clean accurate well timed shots, The same thing maidana did against mayweather, just lots of ineffective aggression.

How on earth did Ward win seven rounds?

You surely have to be biased to give Ward seven rounds.

It was a Vegas decision in favour of the home fighter. Over the years we've seen it happen time and time again.

Well Maidana did make Floyd do that dance though in the rematch.

But that doesn't mean he won! The fight game is something special. You're taking punches to the face for a living, whether you pursue it as a hobby (amatuers) or a career (pro) at the end of the day, this is a man's sport, no bitches allowed!!

Ward > Calzaghe. Not even debatable anymore.

To beat the champ you have to clearly rip the belt from them which Ward didn't do. The consensus is if its a close fight, and a lot of people think it was, then the champ keeps his belts. Like yourself I gave Ward 4 round's being generous. I'll say this if I was SK id seriously question why my management team allowed 3 judges from the states score that fight they should of been screaming during negotiation's for at least 2 judge's from outside the states....that alone was a huge mistake on their part.

True, Floyd did, and yeah many people did think Porter was robbed. Though I would say Thurman beat Porter more decisively than Ward beat Kovalev. (and both were close fights)

That's more of a theory than a consensus. I mean it's a consensus theory, but as a judge scoring a fight and you are scoring round by round you can't go out of your way to go against who you score a round to to ensure that the champ doesn't lose a close decision.

Where in the rules of boxing scoring does it say you have to 'clearly rip the belt' from the champ? That's a classic boxing myth and cliche. To take that criteria into account you'd actually be asking the judges to approach reading the fight with a per-ordained bias. Right or wrong, they score on what they see in the ring without a calculus to advantage the belt holder. When the first bell rings, the belts belong to no one in effect.

kovalev was actually very patient. nothing like shawn porter. sergey handled ward's constant clinching very well.. usually ended up with a nice scoring blow after it, making ward retreat again. kovalev showed himself the better boxer.

Its Kovalev's fault he lost. Not the judges.
He had to up the pressure and he didn't do it. He turned into a mummy for the last half of the fight. He did no work on the inside and backed off way to much.
He was the bigger and more powerful man.. Why was he backing off all the time? Where was the 12th round he fought against Hopkins? He boxed the boxer when he should have brawled him.

True with the judges , i know one thing ,i know how to score fights to a tee and those who think Ward won need to watch every punch thrown, ring general ship, power punches ,body language and blank out any commentary because theres no way Ward defeatted a reighning champion last night. People really dont know what their talking about.
