I Can't Wait for Marco Huck to Get His Nose Pushed in by Povetkin

Marco Huck is proper POS. You know, actually I sympathize with trash talkers like Mayorga, Tyson, Toney, Haye, Tarver, you name them. While they keep trash talking the crap out of their opponents they remain authentic, funny, charismatic and ultimately just entertaining. You feel that they do that because they love publicity and want to promote the fight and that's perfectly fine by boxing standards. Nobody wants to see two good guys in the ring anyway, right?
That's why I can't stand insomnia-inducing Euro boxers who prefer staying humble and countering trash talk with "I'll give my answers in the ring". They're simply not entertaining characters.
Huck on the other hand tried some trash talk and failed MISERABLY. I've never seen a fighter look more douchy than him trash talking. Instead of creating a hostile yet funny atmosphere he simply doesn't come across as authentic.

As for Povektin, I'm not too fond on him. He should've faced Wlad a long time ago but to be honest, I don't believe he was the one pulling the strings back then. Furthermore, I remember him saying his father died prior to the fight. Anyways, other than that, he's your usual untalkative eastern Euro boxer but I respect his skills and achievements (damn fine resume) and I hope he punishes Huck - PUNISHES HIM.

Anyone else looking forward to this clash?

    February 25th in Stuttgart, Germany

Adamek won some fights. Haye even won some. Mormeck had to win some. Huck though, sufaces in a title fight on day 1, and at Boxrec surfaces as a HW before he even fights.

I'm glad it will sell well and that Povetkin is not a huge giant. But, I wish the guys who have fought for titles had fought some other contenders 1st. But I don't blame Povetkin, K2 and Haye were in on tearing the division down too.

To be fair, I'm fine with the match up. It might not be the most competitive (bookies have Povetkin 4:1 fav) but it sure is interesting to see how the alleged #1 CW fares in the HW division.

It's not too bad a fight. Povetkin's had way worse not too long ago.

EDIT: C'mon, Huck ain't fighting for a title. Povetkin's title is a fluke.

I can understand fighters wanting to promote a fight with the Bad guy V Good guy angle but its a breath of fresh air when you have fighters who do their talking in the ring, im not interested in guys saying one thing and doing another, I get enough of that where I live with guys acting harder than they are and cry as soon as the first punch lands

Its what goes on IN the ring what I care about, even if the fight isnt well promoted, if the fight itself is good it promotes the fighter for his next fight

Would Calzaghe Lacy still be talked about as highly as it is if it was just a boring UD for joe? talking dont mean jack in the long run

But as for this fight in general im a bit of a huck fan, he was the only title holder who fought on Euro sport free view  so I saw a lot of his fights live on re runs and I enjoy watching him fight so I hope he pulls off the win

Huck is entertaining for sure because he epitomizes the european club fighter who came from kickboxing and has little to no boxing amateur background.
No jab, no tactics whatsoever, no brains but power punches and stamina for 12 rounds. I have yet to see a boring Huck fight.

You still mad Adamek got his ass handed to him?

Listen, I'm European myself, no need to get defensive.

Lol no, I just don't understand your comment. I watch boxing for the fights not for the drama before them, it can be fun but I don't expect all fighters to go trash talk at each other all the time. And btw I never liked Adamek not sure what does that have to do with me.

povetkin should **** huck in every aspect. i'am just afraid that huck starts running till the finish and will get the win because he is the first german, a ****ing albanian, to win the heavyweight title. povetkin is faster, has more power, better defense, better chin, better corner, higher ring iq ad so on.

huck would lose imo to the complete top 20, if everything is neutral and not sauerland style
