Thanks for this. Puts me in a good mood for that student progress review boards I'm chairing. I'll tell buddy he's lucky Uncle Box' had me laughing earlier, otherwise the board proceedings would be short and inconsiderate of anything he's gotta say. He might not fully understand (but then again he was caught for DWI & poss. of coke, so he doesn't understand much in life).

If Martinez could ever regain his form, he could beat Golovkin. There's some interesting fights for Golovkin against some JMW and SMW fighters. Right now though, he can gain plenty of momentum by staying at MW and keep beating up the type of guys they've been feeding him.

Why are you so desperate for someone who is in entertaining fights and has a good KO ratio to get ' exposed '

Is it because you dont like watching him fight....or just because you get bothered by complete strangers on the internet when they ' hype ' a fighter ?

I love the way you are either the second coming, an unstoppable wrecking machin of total destruction or a glass jawed fraud/HBO hype job/ one dimensional club slugger on ESB. There is no inbetween.

    Grow up kids.

Why does it bother you so much? 75% of the discussion on ESB (and other boxing forums is OTT hyperbole - that's just what boxing (in fact all sports) fans do. If it ain't GGG, it's just gonna be someone else.

You don't like reading about GGG, then don't ffs...it's that easy.

As for GGG being 'exposed' by Ward - well the consensus amongst sober GGG fans is that Ward probably wins. Losing to the P4P #2 who fights about 15lbs heavier than GGG anyway doesn't really count as being exposed tho, does it?

Who should we all be talking about in your opinion BTW?

Murray ain't afraid (in fact FWIW I dislike boxers being described as afraid - first and foremost they have to consider what's best for their own career), neithers Sergio.

Most likely Murray will fight GGG later in the year, but on HBO (he'll need a date far enough away he can be assured of getting his P1) in the US.

IMO Maravilla will fight GGG when he's ready to retire - the longer he leaves it the more it'll be worth, but that retirement ain't gonna be so far away, I'd expect late 2014 / early 2015 when he's had either Cotto or Rubio and possibly another money fight.

I hadn't heard Rubio was calling out GGG but it's a fight I wouldn't mind, it's as good as anything else out there for GGG at the moment, but I woulda thought he'd want to hang on to his mando spot for Maravilla.

With Murray outta the picture for Feb 1/2, Rubio unlikely (see above) and the IBF hunters tied up with each other, it looks like the best options for Monaco are Mora, Lee, Truax or Vera, none of which are exactly what you'd call epic match-ups...

Still, I'm expecting GGG to hold out at 160 in hopes of Maravilla and the lineal (which it's been strongly hinted by Lewcowicz and DiBella will come eventually) before moving up to 168 which is what I as a GGG fan really want see.

GGG could be exposed by a good boxer, but theyd have to go through hell to do it.

win lose or draw, nobody will have an easy time with GGG

GGG would still be the best middleweight if his power were only average at the world level instead of historically good.

As it stands, sit back and enjoy the most complete offensive arsenal in boxing today. Or not. :smooch

It' well known, on ESB every fighter is a bum or a hypejob, often both.

GGG is an exciting fighter to watch, he's entertaining, got skills, and isn't an ******* outside the ring yet people want to hate him. I don't get it.
