Photos from the Cotto fight show red stains on Margarito's hand wraps that are consistent with stains on the inserts seized by the California State Athletic Commission. The photos are "overwhelming" evidence that Margarito used loaded gloves in the Las Vegas fight. They could also present a major obstacle for Margarito when he applies to have his boxing license renewed next year.

First, cheating is not cheating just like all crimes are not the same. if you jay walk should you get the chair? STupid f'n argument.

Third, if Boxing was not protected and tend to self govern like other sports A$$hole would and should be behind bars for attempted assault & battery with a lethal weapon.

For anyone to dismiss his actions a just as cheating is truly understating his actions and does not have any sense of justice. What would have happen if SSM as mamed in that ring that night . . . who would feed his family? Who would perform brain surgery to repair the damage that was done? Did he ruin Cotto's career? Cotto did not look the same since that beat down he took. Everyone who even should even an ounce of interest in seeing him fight should be ashamed of themselves.

 

my thoughts exactly. Sure im a big cotto fan and that probably has to do with my feelings towards him, but considering he got caught trying to inflict some serious possible life altering damage to SMM, i hope he gets KO'd in his next bout only for him never to return.

 

How does boxing mix that type of fighter recently with Mosley, Pacquiao, Cotto, Arreola, Abraham, Darchinyan, P.Williams, Martinez and MANY others bringing extremely exciting fights?

 

Exactly man. Anyone who has laced them up knows that this is the WORST form of cheating that can take place in a boxing ring. He should never fight again.

 

Funny thing is everyone hates on Margarito who has NEVER been proven to be a cheater.
Yet they applaud Shane Mosely, a known juicer, to carry on any earn big $$$$$$ in big fights. Same thing with Jonesjr. Those two guys blatently cheated and WON while juiced yet neither has been banned. WHY???????????????

Show me ONE official notice that proves Tony Margarito EVER loaded his gloves
Show me one report that says he used PLASTER in his wraps or even tried to use PLASTER??? You cannot there is no evidence or proof he hever did
